As the year is about to end as it is, some manufacturers rush the dates to release devices before encountering traffic jams on the highways of the new gadgets in 2011. The Chinese company ZTE is one of those that has done its homework, and seeing the barrage of tablets that awaits us next year, has rushed to present this ZTE V9 in our country. We are facing a tablet that has two main characteristics: it uses an Android operating system and is aimed at an audience that seeks to get closer to this technology without spending a fortune.
In fact, it can be obtained from 290 euros, with the terminal completely released, and from 30 euros if it is associated with an operator with certain conditions (the classic pack: commitment to stay, hiring data plans, etc.). Regarding the device itself, without being a tablet with features to shoot rockets, it certainly has a pretty decent technical picture for its price and target audience. Let's take a closer look at the characteristics of this device.
The ZTE V9 stands out in the first place for its format. Like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the ZTE V9 has a seven-inch screen. Of course: it is a resistive panel, which means that we will not be able to control it with multi-touch gestures and that the sensitivity of the panel will not be as accurate as with capacitive technology. The ZTE V9 comes standard with Android 2.1 Eclair, with no news on the horizon about a possible update to Android 2.2 Froyo.
In connections, the ZTE V9 offers the user the usual accesses of an Android mobile: 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. It also has a 600 MHz processor, accompanied by 512 MB of RAM and the option to decide the storage capacity with microSD cards of up to 32 GB. On the other hand, it has a three megapixel resolution camera.
