It has been more than half a year since the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini were introduced, two upper-middle-range smartphones from the Asian company ZTE, which were soon joined by the ZTE Nubia Z9. Now, a leak has revealed that ZTE is working on two new versions of the Nubia Z9, with the launch of both apparently just around the corner. The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite and ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini Elite are the two models that will join the range Nubia of ZTE within weeks.
As we can read on GSMArena.com, ZTE has been "hunted" by publishing two press images in Asian territory that not only confirm the existence of the new Nubia Z9 Max Elite and Z9 Mini Elite, but also reveal practically all its technical specifications. In short, it seems that the new "Elite" versions of the ZTE Nubia Z9 will only introduce minor changes compared to the current models, and it remains to be seen if they will become available in the European market.
In the case of the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite, the novelties regarding the Z9 Max will go through the incorporation of a fingerprint reader (apparently, located on the right side, in the form of a touch surface located under the volume buttons) and the introduction of a USB Type-C port; otherwise, the technical specifications will remain intact. In fact, if we look at the image that accompanies this leak, we will see that the Nubia Z9 Max Elite is, at the same time, the Nubia X8 to which the rumors made reference until now, thinking that it is locked from a mobile of a different range. In the case of the Z9 Mini Elite, the only novelty that can be seen is an increase in the capacity of the RAM memory, going up to 3 GigaBytes (compared to the 2 offered by the previous version).
