The Chinese multinational ZTE could be preparing the launch of a new smartphone that would be presented during the first months of 2016. Everything indicates that we would be talking about the new ZTE Nubia X8, a device that has already been the protagonist of numerous rumors and leaks over the past year, but which could now be officially presented. If the rumors are confirmed, we would be talking about a phablet with a 6.4-inch screen and Quad HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a battery with 4,500 milliamps of capacity to be able to finish the day without recharging it.
ZTE is one of the Chinese manufacturers that is managing to gain a foothold in the mid-range smartphone market, gaining ground from traditional brands such as Samsung, LG or Motorola, and taking a significant piece of the pie. The firm was already noticed in 2015 with the launch of the Nubia Z9, Z9 Max and Z9 Mini. Specifically, the ZTE Nubia Z9 attracted attention for its elegant and metallic design that was characterized by its almost non-existent frame on the sides of the screen, which gives it a modern and stylish look.
Now, after having shown the new Nubia Z11 at the CES show that is being held this week in the city of Las Vegas, it seems that ZTE would not settle for this latest launch, but would be thinking of presenting another new device during these first months from 2016, this new being the rumored Nubia X8. This phablet has already starred in other leaks throughout the past year 2015, and numerous unofficial images have even appeared that advance how its final design could be. Thus, according to all these information it seems that the new ZTE Nubia X8It will be characterized above all by its large size. And it is that with a screen of no less than 6.44 inches, this new device can appropriate the name phablet, since with a screen of this size it will be able to replace any seven-inch tablet on the market.
Like the Z9, the new Nubia X8 would have a luxurious design thanks to its metal body, although this time the screen frames could be more visible than on the Z9. As for the rest of its technical characteristics, the large screen of almost 6.5 inches would offer Quad HD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), which would mean an image density of approximately 456 pixels per inch. For the processor, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset would be used, and the battery in charge of providing the power would have a capacity of 4,500 milliamps. Although at the moment the exact date of presentation of the new ZTE Nubia X8 is not known, the Chinese multinational has an event scheduled for next Monday, January 18, so it is possible that this is when the X8 will be shown to the media. We will also have to wait for this next presentation to confirm the details of this new phablet, so we will be attentive to update all these details.
