The ZTE company, of Chinese origin , continues to increase its offer of terminals. The latest launches that it has launched, for the most part, have been under the icons of Google, Android. And the next smartphone to appear on the market will also include them. Its name is ZTE Geek.
Perhaps, what most attracts the attention of the new ZTE Geek is its technical sheet. Outwardly it is a team with good finishes, with a white back and a front where there are no physical buttons; the controls are fully tactile and integrated into the screen. The panel, for its part, has a size of five inches diagonally achieving an HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels).
Also, the main feature of this ZTE Geek is its processor. The Chinese company has opted to get rid of the typical processors that are usually implanted in this type of equipment, and has opted to include new Intel dual-core processors, based on the new Clover Trail + platform that are intended for use in tablets and smartphones . The working frequency of this chip is two GHz. To this must be added a RAM of one GB.
Meanwhile, in the part of photographs, the ZTE Geek has two cameras: the rear, which will be the main one, has an eight mega-pixel sensor accompanied by an integrated Flash; the company has not announced if this sensor will be able to record videos in high definition, although it is very possible that, at least, it can do so in HD quality. For its part, the front sensor only has a resolution of one mega-pixel. This will be focused on video calls or self-portraits.
Regarding the operating system that will be installed, the company confirms that it is a smartphone based on Google's Android. What's more, it details that the version will be Android Jelly Bean, although it has not been possible to know if the exact version will be Android 4.1, or the most recent Android 4.2. Meanwhile, the storage part of this model has an internal memory of eight GigaBytes and it is not specified that it has a memory card slot. Although Internet-based services can always be used.
At the moment, ZTE has not yet placed the price of this ZTE Geek, nor has it commented on the launch date and, much less, in which markets it can be obtained. Meanwhile, previous releases made reference to the ZTE Grand Memo and ZTE Grand XM models, the latter is now available with Yoigo at a price of 150 euros with a single payment method.
