The YotaPhone 3 is now official. The device arrives to replace the YotaPhone 2 that debuted almost three years ago. It also follows the same philosophy: it includes two screens that work differently. While one is prepared for us to enjoy all the multimedia content in color, the other is made of electronic ink to allow us to read ebooks or comics. This is really the most outstanding feature of this mobile, which comes with improvements and new additions.
The YotaPhone 3 screen has grown. The main one (AMOLED) now offers a size of 5.5 inches and a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The secondary one, which we can find on the back of the device, has a size of 5.2 inches and an HD resolution (720 x 1,280 pixels). This panel is prepared to avoid damaging the eyes and to consume little energy. As we say, it is perfect for reading electronic books when we are on the subway or bus.
The mobile of the two screens
At the design level, the YotaPhone 3 is very similar to its predecessor. It mounts a polycarbonate chassis in a sleek, shiny black color with rounded profiles for good grip. At first glance it gives the feeling of being a very comfortable mobile, which is always a plus for moments of reading or browsing. In the bowels of the YotaPhone 3 there is room this year for a Snapdragon 625 processor that is accompanied by a 4 GB RAM. As for storage, we can have two versions, one with 64 GB and another with 128 GB of space.
Other of the great improvements of this year are found in the photographic section. The YotaPhone 3 equips a 13 - megapixel main sensor combined with a dual - tone LED flash. The selfie camera is quite attractive, offering a resolution of 12 megapixels. As for the rest of the features, the Yotaphone 3 also has a USB Type-C port and a 3,300 mAh battery. It is also governed by YotaOS 3.0, which is a custom version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
The device will begin to be sold in China soon (mid-September). The price of the most basic model (with 64 GB) could start at 350 euros to change.
