How to install the EMUI 10 beta on my mobile
The installation of EMUI betas on a Huawei or Honor mobile is carried out by an independent application, which is called Beta User Tests. We can download it from Huawei's own website. Before proceeding with its installation, however, we will have to activate the Install from unknown sources box in the Security section within the Android Settings, since we will use an external APK that can invalidate the system's security.
Once we have installed the application on the phone, we will have to create a Huawei ID to register in the brand's beta system. The process is as simple as clicking on Create account and following the steps indicated by the application.
When we have managed to access the application, we will click on the Personal option and then we will select Join the project if it is available. Its availability depends on the number of registered users, so it will be necessary to proceed as soon as possible to avoid losing the place.
The next step to register for the project is to click on Available projects and then on the latest version listed by the application (we can see the EMUI 10 beta numbering in the attached screenshot above). Finally the system will register our request and will enter the queue.
When the beta version is available on our phone, we will receive a notification that will take us to download the latest from Huawei. The installation process is the same as for any version of the system: we will go to Android Settings and then to System Updates. Within this section we will see the new version available, whose weight is between 4 and 5 GB.
Can you go back to an old version of the system? Yes, through the application options. However, this will completely restore all the data on the phone, so we will have to make a backup of all the data that is important. Since these types of versions have bugs and performance problems, it is recommended not to update if the equipment is in daily use.
