A few days ago we told you that the update to Android 9.0 Pie had begun to arrive by surprise on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 +. The first to embrace this unexpected update, which in principle should not arrive until early 2019, were German users. Which makes us think of a more or less agile launch for the rest of the European markets, including Spain.
The launch was not accompanied by any official statement from the company. In fact, at this point, the data package has not yet reached most markets. So most likely, the announcement by Samsung will come a little later, in a few days or weeks, when Android 9.0 Pie has been rolled out to more users or devices.
What we know as of today, yes, is that the Android 9.0 Pie user manuals for the Samsung Galaxy S9 have just been published. For now they are only available in English, Dutch and German. It is expected, yes, that in the coming days more versions will appear in other languages, including Spanish.
The Android 9.0 Pie manual for the Samsung Galaxy S9
The manuals have been updated with information about Android 9.0 Pie for the Samsung Galaxy S9. Here are included many of the features that we can expect from the new version of the operating system. Although some basic questions are also covered, such as instructions on how to install a SIM card in the phone. Which would actually be the same as if the phone had another version of Android.
Be that as it may, if you want to get the manual, all you have to do is download it in the language you need. For now, here you can download it in English, although chances are that you will soon be able to download it in Spanish.
More updates expected
If you have a Samsung device, you should know that the main updates will be given in the coming weeks. Users of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 + will be able to enjoy it from now on, so they must be attentive to the notification that may arrive at any moment, to start it.
However, there are other teams that will also receive the update to Android 9.0 Pie shortly. There are notes from Samsung in Turkey pointing to the update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from January 15th. But if what you have in your pocket is a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 or a Samsung Galaxy S8, you can be sure that the update will not be released for another month.
You must also bear in mind that the updates will be launched progressively and at different times, depending on the country in which the terminal is located.
The update is a bit heavy, because the truth is that this is how all version changes are. Thus, before installing it on any of the mentioned computers, do the following:
- Have the Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 + (or whatever model) well charged, making sure that it is, at least, at 50% of its capacity. In this way, we prevent the terminal from turning off during the update process.
- You also have to be connected to a WiFi network that can provide stability and speed during the download, which as we have indicated is quite heavy.
- All updates are delicate processes, so it is highly recommended to make a backup copy of all the content and settings that we consider important as users.
If you want to access the update, to check if it is already available, you can do it from the Settings> Updates section. If it's not ready yet, don't worry. It should arrive in the next few weeks.
