There are times when our mobile is not doing as well as it should. Some of these problems focus, above all, on the WiFi network. Loss of signal, disconnection, inability to connect to a network… This time we are going to bring you some of the most common solutions to problems with WiFi on Xiaomi mobiles. So if you have a Xiaomi and you are running out of solutions to try to have a stable connection, do not miss our advice.
Common solutions to problems with WiFi on Xiaomi mobiles
What WiFi are you connected to?
Before sending the mobile for technical service, check to see what WiFi you are connected to. To be more precise: in general, in homes we have two WiFi signals to connect to, provided by the router: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The vast majority of mid-range mobiles are usually compatible with these two signals so we always use to connect to 5 GHz, a signal that guarantees higher speed. What happen? Which is more unstable and has less range. So, if you are continuously disconnecting from the WiFi, see if you are connected to the 5 GHz network. If so, you will have no choice but to switch to 2.4 GHz, much more stable and with greater coverage, although slower.
I am connected to the 2.4 GHz network and it keeps going wrong
If you are connected to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network and you still have speed, connection and stability problems, try analyzing the saturation of the different channels of your router. To do this, you must download the WiFi Analyzer application, available for free in the Google Play Store. It is an application that contains advertising although it is very light: less than 2 MB.
When you open it, you will have to give it all the necessary permissions (this step is very important, otherwise it will not work) so that it scans the WiFi signals that are near your mobile and analyzes them in the spectrum of channels. Now we do the following: click on the eye icon and enter 'Channel Score'. This is where we are going to see which channels are the best for you to connect with your WiFi. In my case, channel 13. To change the channel, you must enter your router's configuration and connect to channel 13.
Other possible solutions
Although they seem somewhat simple or absurd solutions, in most of the time it is here where we will finally find the light at the end of the tunnel. Not for obvious the following tips are less important.
Are you connected to WiFi? Look at your router, make sure it's turned on. Now, look on your mobile and make sure that the WiFi connection is activated.
Restart the mobile. You can't imagine how many times our mobile problems are fixed with a simple and easy restart. If your mobile does not give you the option to restart, you can turn it off and on or press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until it restarts itself. In addition, restarting the mobile is a task that we should do from time to time, just like we do with our computer.
Leave your mobile as it just came out of the store, and start over. There are times when drastic measures are necessary to make a clean slate.
