Without eating or drinking it, Xiaomi has just presented what it assumes will be the natural successor to the Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro in Spain. We refer to the Redmi K30 and K30 5G, two terminals that have come from the Redmi sub-brand for a price that in none of the cases exceeds 300 euros at the exchange. Beyond the 5G connectivity of the model with the same name, the most remarkable feature of the two phones of the company is found on the screen, with up to 120 Hz frequency. Also the cameras and the fast charging system, which now reaches 30 W. Will they be reason enough to renew the Xiaomi Mi 9T?
Redmi K30 and K30 5G datasheet
Same design on the outside, different heart on the inside
Few are the differences, if not any, that we find between the Redmi K30 and K30 5G. Xiaomi has wanted to distinguish itself from the design of the Mi 9T by implementing the double front camera in the form of an island on one of the sides of the device together with a 6.67-inch screen that now becomes an IPS LCD and uses 120 Hz frequency to improve the overall gaming and system experience.
If we go to the interior of the two devices, the company has implemented two different chips to provide the K30 5G with new generation 5G (NSA and SA). And while the Redmi K30 has the well-known Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor (the same as the Mi 9T), the K30 5G uses the Snapdragon 765G.
The differences between one and the other, beyond the performance, are found in the load capacity: 27 W compared to 30 W of the K30 5G. In any case, the two phones use a 4,500 mAh battery. Another of the most notable differences is found in Bluetooth connectivity: 5.0 versus 5.1. The rest of the connections are practically identical. NFC, minijack for headphones, dual band WiFi…
Six cameras to conquer them all
Not one, not two, not three… Up to six cameras is what we find in the two Xiaomi phones. The main sensor is neither more nor less than the 64 megapixel Sony IMX686, the natural evolution of the IMX586 that most high-end mobiles have integrated in 2018 and 2019.
The rest of the cameras are made up of three 8, 2 and 2 megapixel sensors. While the former has a 120º wide-angle lens, the two remaining sensors use a macro lens and a module designed to enhance images in portrait mode.
Moving to the front, the two devices have two 20 and 2 megapixel cameras. The latter uses its functions to once again improve the results of images in portrait mode. Unfortunately neither of them has a wide angle lens.

In China all the devices presented will begin to be available from the day after tomorrow. At the moment none of the terminals has been confirmed in Spain, although everything indicates that they will arrive in the coming months with the name of Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T 5G.
