Xiaomi has not been seen by the Mobile World Congress this year. This has not stopped the company from displaying new devices from its official forum. One of them has been the Mi5c, a phone that stands out for incorporating the new processor of the house Surge S1. The terminal also has a very slim, elegant design and 5.15-inch JDI screen. Its RAM memory is 3 GB and it also offers a 12 megapixel main camera. It will hit the market for just over 200 euros.
Xiaomi remains one of the most acclaimed manufacturers in the world. Their phones are affordable and boast some of the latest features. The last one we just got to know is the Mi5c. The new phone wears an elegant chassis, built in metal in various colors, with a fingerprint reader on the home button. Its profile is very thin and light. This new model offers exact measurements of 144.38 x 69.68 x 7.09 millimeters and a weight of only 132 grams. Don't expect a big screen. Unlike other of its brothers, such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix, the Mi5c arrives with a single 5.15-inch with Full HD resolution and JDI technology. In any case the quality of the panel is assured.
Premiere power for a new mobile
One of the peculiarities of the Xiaomi Mi5c is that it comes with the new Surge S1 processor manufactured by Xiaomi itself. It is an eight-core chip in which four are of the Cortex A-53 type running at 1.8 GHz (focused on basic tasks). The other four are of the Cortex A-53 type at 2.2 GHz and will take care of the most demanding tasks. This SoC is accompanied by a Mali T-860 GPU and a 3 GB RAM. It is expected, therefore, that we find great power when running several applications at the same time or making use of some of the latest games from the Play Store.

The Surge S1 has some quirks that make it very interesting. In addition to its eight cores, this processor offers support for two microphones, so it can easily eliminate ambient noise. It also has a 32-bit DSP to enjoy great audio quality. We are facing an SoC that is going to give a lot to talk about in mid-high range mobiles, perfectly comparable with others such as the Helio P20 or the Snapdragon 625.
Specifications that will not leave you indifferent
In addition to a completely new processor, the Xiaomi Mi5c also boasts a photographic section. The new equipment mounts a 12 megapixel main sensor with a pixel size of 1.25μm, which works with the ISP algorithm to enhance light sensitivity. This translates into clearer and brighter shots. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels, perfect for selfies and video calls.
The storage capacity of the terminal is 64 GB, expandable using microSD type cards. It also equips a 2,860 mAh battery with 9V / 2A fast charge. As for the rest of the features, the Xiaomi Mi5c is also expected with a USB type C port and MIUI 8 operating system upgradeable to Android 7.1. Xiaomi's new mobile could reach the market at a price of around 200 euros.
