If the most recent rumors are correct, the Asian company Xiaomi does not look like it will disappoint with the launch of its flagship this year. Exactly one year has passed since the launch of the Xiaomi Mi4, and the Xiaomi Mi5 is already just around the corner. So much so, that rumors already indicate the exact technical specifications that this mobile will incorporate, and one of the latest surprises that we have just learned points directly to the processor. Instead of coming with the rumored Snapdragon 810, the Xiaomi Mi5 could finally incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, with eight cores and with technology of64 bit.
As revealed from AndroidHeadlines.com, the Xiaomi Mi5 could be presented headed by a 5.3-inch screen (that is, a size well above the five inches of the Mi4) that would reach a resolution of the Quad HD type (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The design that this new smartphone will have is not so clear yet, although it is rumored that the case will have some kind of metallic finish (it is to be confirmed if it will be completely metallic or if it will combine metal with plastic). The leaked images of the Redmi Note 2 case can allow us to get an idea of the design that Xiaomi will continue this year on their mobiles.
But the really striking thing about the Xiaomi Mi5 will be hidden under its case. This year we are used to manufacturers incorporating the Snapdragon 810 processor in their flagships - which has caused quite a few overheating problems for some companies - but Xiaomi could have made the decision to incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor in its new Mi5. This processor is still eight-core, it works under 64-bit technology and, as a more striking change, it incorporates some Kryo cores (until now they were Cortex cores).
For the rest, the technical specifications of the Xiaomi Mi5 would be the characteristics of any flagship of the year 2015 worth its salt. That includes four gigabytes of RAM, 16 / to 64 gigabytes of internal storage, a fingerprint reader, a main chamber 16 megapixels, a front chamber six megapixel, version Android 5.1.1 Lollipop of the operating system Android (with the layer customization of Xiaomi MIUI) and a battery with a capacity of 3,030 mAh. Of course, on paper it impresses; we will see if in practice Xiaomi does not disappoint.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is scheduled to be officially presented during the final stretch of this year, and rumors point to November as the most likely date for this presentation. Of course, Xiaomi still has no plans to expand its mobile market to European territory, so that the only way to acquire this terminal will be through importation (or purchase through national distributors, with the slight price increase that this will entail).
