Xiaomi has just presented one of its new flagships this year, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, a terminal that arrives ready to fill the gap left by the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. And it is that the design of this terminal reminds us a lot of the Korean terminal, with a front part that sports a curved OLED panel on the sides, an oval start button very similar to the one used by Samsung and a giant 5.7 screen inches. A terminal that, in addition to a large screen, keeps inside the latest Qualcomm processor, a large amount of RAM, NFC technology, alarge battery and camera over 22 megapixels. We are going to review what news the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 brings us.
Xiaomi is one of the most important manufacturers in China, but its mobiles are highly valued almost all over the world. The recently presented Xiaomi Mi Note 2 arrives ready to show that you can get the same thing that other manufacturers offer with a much lower price. Starting with the design. The new terminal of the Chinese company offers a beautiful design with the glass as the protagonist, both in the back and front. A glass that curves to the sides on both sides, thus achieving the same design that we saw in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or in the recent Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Although we still do not have the exact measurements, the company has communicated that the terminal has a body-screen ratio of 77.2%, which keeps its dimensions at bay even using a large screen. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in two colors: black and silver.
To be able to curve the part of the screen, Xiaomi has used an OLED panel for the first time and has equipped its new terminal with a 5.7-inch screen. We do not know the resolution of the screen, but we do know that it reaches a contrast of 100,000: 1. Inside the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 we find the latest in Qualcomm processors, a Snapdragon 821, which is accompanied by no less than 6 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 128 GB. Regarding autonomy, the new terminal incorporates a 4,070 milliamp batteryand the Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging system.
Xiaomi has not forgotten the growing trend for mobile payments and has included an NFC chip in the Mi Note 2, although it is likely that this can only be used in its country of origin. It has also wanted to provide its new terminal with a high-quality audio system, with an AQSTIC audio processor that is capable of working with high-resolution 192kHz / 24bit audio.
As for the photographic section, we have two cameras that will delight users who are fond of photography. In the main chamber we found a IMX 318 Sony sensor offering a resolution of 22.56 megapixels and f / 2.0 aperture. The camera incorporates a hybrid phase detection and laser focusing system, as well as electronic image stabilization, even on 4K video. To achieve this, the bed module includes a 3-axis gyroscope that compensates for movement in real time. This lens is accompanied by a dual-tone flash.
In the front we find a sensor IMX268, also from Sony, offering 8 - megapixel resolution, aperture f / 2.0 and autofocus system.
Xiaomi knows that its terminals are quite successful outside of China, so, as usual, the company has provided the Mi Note 2 with support for international LTE bands with a version called Global. Regarding the price, the company will put on sale two versions of this terminal. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage will go on sale for, in exchange, about 380 euros. The top version, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, will be priced at about 475 euros. The Global version that we mentioned will be around 500 euros and will also include 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
