Lately it is fashionable to update the terminals that have been launched at the beginning of the year. Xiaomi is one of the companies that this year has decided to give its terminals a push before the end of the year and today it was the turn of the Xiaomi Mi Max, a terminal that stands out for its gigantic screen and that has now been renewed more RAM and a new processor. The new terminal is called Xiaomi Mi Max Prime and incorporates an eight-core processor manufactured by Qualcomm, in addition to expanding the device's RAM memory by a gig over its predecessor. All accompanied by an importantexpansion of internal storage capacity. We are going to review what the new Xiaomi Mi Max Prime offers us.
The Xiaomi Mi Max was launched earlier this year and it attracted attention for its gigantic screen. No less than 6.44 inch are full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. A curious size that makes the device practically a small tablet. A screen that offers a density of 342 dpi, a contrast ratio of 1,000: 1 and a brightness of 400 nits. The new model maintains this same screen, as well as the same design. A metallic design with a smooth polished finish and the use of 2.5D glass for a more premium finish. The photographic set, composed of amain 16 megapixel camera with focal aperture f / 2.0. This camera comes with a double LED flash to better deal with night photography. We found in the front sensor 5 megapixel with a focal aperture f / 2.0 and an angle up to 85 degrees. The battery is also maintained, which offers a capacity of 4,850 milliamps. It may seem like a very high capacity compared to other terminals, but you have to take into account the large size of the screen.
The new Xiaomi Mi Max Prime only changes internally. The original model includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, which is made up of six cores, four Cortex-A53 running at 1.4 GHz and two Cortex-A72 running at 1.8 GHz. The new model expands the number of cores by switching to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, which has eight Cortex-A72 cores running at 1.8 GHz.
In addition to the processor, we also find a difference in the amount of RAM. While the model presented at the beginning of the year incorporates 3 GB of RAM, the new Xiaomi Mi Max Prime raises this amount to 4 GB of RAM. We will also notice a considerable increase in the internal storage of the terminal. While the model from the beginning of the year could be purchased with 32 or 64 GB of capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max Prime incorporates no less than 128 GB of capacity.
As is logical, the price of the new terminal will be somewhat higher than its predecessor. The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime will go on sale with a price of 300 dollars, so it is assumed that it will arrive in Europe with a price of about 300 euros. The model launched at the beginning of the year, the Xiaomi Mi Max, is currently sold with a price of around 230 euros.
