On certain occasions, a mobile that is officially presented with one name appears in our country with another. This is precisely what has happened with the Redmi K20 that not only changes its name when it is presented in Europe but also the 'brand'. As you all know, Redmi separated from Xiaomi to run on its own (although it still belongs to Xiaomi) and launch its own entry-level, medium and high-end terminals. The Redmi K20 fully entered the latter, along with an improved (and more expensive) version of it, the Redmi K20 Pro. When on the 12th it was presented in Madrid for the entire European market, as had already been rumored for weeks, that Redmi happens to be a Xiaomi terminal in its own right, with the surname Mi as its flag.
xiaomi mi 9
What does this mean? That the Xiaomi Mi 9 family, presented at the last edition of the Mobile World Congress, already has three members, the Xiaomi Mi 9, the, for now, the last member, the Xiaomi Mi 9T, which is an improvement and a cut, to the same time, from the Xiaomi Mi 9 and, finally, the Mi 9 SE. For how much can we buy, today, each of these terminals? Which one is the best for you, according to your economy and needs? Next we will try to figure out the appropriate Mi 9 for you.

Design and display: notch or no notch?
In this section there is a model that stands out above all: the Xiaomi Mi 9T. It is the only one that completely lacks notch by integrating the front camera into the equipment. That is why if you want to have a completely immersive experience, you must purchase the Xiaomi Mi 9T. However, both this and the Xiaomi Mi 9 are large terminals, the former being somewhat heavy as it houses a 4,000 milliamp battery. If you want a light terminal with a moderate size, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is your choice. In addition, both the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Mi 9 SE have a Super AMOLED panel, compared to the AMOLED panel of the Xiaomi Mi 9T, so if you are very concerned about the quality of it, you should opt for one of the two.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
Regarding the design, all three have the same construction materials, they are terminals with an infinite screen (more in the case of the Xiaomi Mi 9T), with the back with a gradient effect and rounded corners. It would be difficult to choose one in this regard since all three are very similar. However, if what matters most to you is having a good screen viewing experience, since you consume YouTube, Netflix and other streaming platforms, the Xiaomi Mi 9T is the phone you should opt for since it is the only one of the three with which you will have the real experience of 'all screen'. The other two have a small notch, but a notch after all. And let's say that the Xiaomi Mi 9 is the large, but otherwise identical version of the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE.
Processor, autonomy and operating system: three different options
Three terminals that are three ascending steps in terms of processor: we start with the most powerful, the Xiaomi Mi 9, we continue in the middle zone, Xiaomi Mi 9T and we end with the smallest, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. Only with the Xiaomi Mi 9 will we be able to guarantee maximum fluidity (and maximum graphics settings) in very powerful games such as ARK, Fotnite or Asphalt. However, with the other two terminals you will have fluidity and power to spare for day-to-day use in regular use, even with powerful games at a medium graphics level. I would only advise the extra outlay to acquire the Snapdragon 855 if you are a true video game freak and cannot play Fortnite on average graphics. For the others, both the Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE are two options to consider.
xiaomi mi 9t
In terms of autonomy, here is a clear winner, the Xiaomi Mi 9T, the only one to house a 4,000 mAh battery. If this aspect is important to you, do not hesitate, although the Xiaomi Mi 9 has wireless fast charging and the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has fast charging. And the operating system? We are witnessing a triple tie here since all three go on sale with Android 9 Pie and MIUI 10 customization layer and both are expected to update both Android (Q) and MIUI (11) to the next version.
Photographic section: three cameras to explore the light
Here we find a clear winner: the Xiaomi Mi 9. The main sensor is the same in all three but we see the differences in the rest of the sensors. For example, we have more focal aperture in the telephoto sensor and in the ultra-wide sensor. What does this mean? Well, if you like night photography with the Xiaomi Mi 9 you have more to explore: by being able to capture more light, you can throw photos with better detail, brightness, more realistic colors, etc. If you prefer to save a little and the camera option is not what makes you choose one terminal or another, do not hesitate and go for any of the other two, taking into account their variants.
In what does exist a determining difference, which may make some opt for one or the other terminal, is the telescopic camera that is housed inside the Xiaomi Mi 9T. This is the first terminal of all Xiaomi to incorporate this mechanism, in order to make sure that the front is not interrupted by any notch or notch and thus offer an immersive experience. There will be those who distrust these mechanisms (many say that it can be a magnet to dust and water, and if we take into account that we do not have IP certification, this can be a real problem) but there are other types of users who love it try the new and more if it is at an affordable price. The 330 euros of the Xiaomi Mi 9T attest to this.
Other notable differences to highlight
Now we are going to tell you about those small differences that can make us opt for one or the other before going to the final fireworks: the price.
- Headphone jack port. If you need your mobile to have a headphone connection, we have to warn you that only the Xiaomi Mi 9T has it. If you opt for either of the other two you will need a USB Type C adapter.
- Wireless charging. Only the Xiaomi Mi 9 has wireless charging.
- FM Radio. Do you like to listen to the radio on your mobile? Is it something unforgivable on your device? Well, you should go for the Xiaomi Mi 9T.

Price and final observations
Right now we can buy both the Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Xiaomi Mi SE on Amazon and the official Xiaomi store. On June 17, the Xiaomi Mi 9T version with 64 GB of storage will go on sale at a sale price of 300 euros. The 64 GB version of the Xiaomi Mi 9 can now be purchased at a price of 428 euros and the 64 GB version of the 64 GB Xiaomi Mi 9 SE for 277 euros. Taking into account all that has been said, you should see well what matters to you and what not in a terminal and see the price at which the desired one comes out. If you opt for the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, you will be saving 151 euros in relation to the Xiaomi Mi 9 and 52 euros in relation to the Xiaomi Mi 9T. If you don't mind spending more than 400 euros, you care a lot about wireless charging and playing powerful games, opt for the Xiaomi Mi 9. In the end, the decision is in your hand.
