Xiaomi has announced the Xiaomi Mi 9, its new flagship that comes with a triple camera, a very powerful processor and up to 12 GB of RAM. The company has taken advantage of the launch in China to announce a cheaper version of the Mi 9, the Mi 9 SE. We tell you all the characteristics below.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a design very similar to the Mi 9. We see a glass rear with a triple camera in the upper area. It is accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. On the back we also find the Xiaomi logo. There is no trace of the fingerprint reader. Although it is a cheaper version, the Mi 9 SE also includes a fingerprint reader integrated into the front. A panoramic front, which has minimal frames and a 'drop-type' notch in the upper area.
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, features
Where we do see a difference is in its characteristics. Its panel is somewhat smaller, 5.97 inches with Full HD resolution. The Mi 9 SE arrives with a less powerful processor. Specifically, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712. It is an eight-core chip that comes with up to 6 GB of RAM. In the storage we find a minimum version of 64 GB, with up to 128 GB of internal storage. The SE has a triple main camera. The first sensor takes normal pictures, with a quality of 48 megapixels. The second lens is responsible for taking zoomed photographs and is 8 megapixels. Last but not least, a 13 megapixel wide-angle sensor. The front camera stays at 20 megapixels.
Among other specifications, the Mi 9 SE arrives with Android 9.0 Pie, 3,070 mAh autonomy and USB type C.
Price and availability
We do not know the availability of this version in Spain. In China, it will go on sale next week. Its price to change would be around 260 euros for the most basic version, with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Mi 9 SE is a very interesting version for those users who are looking for a powerful terminal for the day to day, without sacrificing specifications.
