It all started a few days ago, on December 21, when a user of Chinese origin saw his Xioami from the Redmi range bought in March go up in flames without warning. The affected has commented that the terminal was charging, with the official charger of the company, when it began to heat up in an exaggerated way. At this moment he decided to remove it from the load, although later it began to burn without being able to prevent it. After the incident, the user contacted the company's customer service for a solution. What was Xiaomi's response ? Positive, although with surprise.
The company, far from offering a full refund of the price paid for the phone, or an exchange for another model, offered the affected person a payment of 600 yuan, about 80 euros to change, as compensation. In addition, Xiaomi, and this is where the curious thing comes from, also forced the user to have to sign a confidentiality agreement about everything that happened. That is, the company urged him to sign a contract because of his silence, logically with the aim of preventing all this from coming to light.
