Wordpress lands on Windows Phone 7. As we told you a couple of weeks ago, the popular blog hosting and editing service launches a native application for Microsoft's system for smart phones. It is a free application that can already be downloaded from the online service of the Windows Phone 7 platform (the Marketplace store).
Wordpress for Windows Phone 7 allows you to create personalized blogs with a domain extension specially designed for users of this platform, which can only be created and managed from the Windows Phone 7 application itself .
As declared themselves the authors of the application (which is an official edition), " Wordpress for Windows Phone 7 is an application open source designed to create new posts, edit content, review statistics or moderate comments".
It is not very clear if the application itself can create autonomous blog versions to be visited indistinctly from computer and mobile, or if the blogs created with Wordpress for Windows Phone 7 are only operational to be viewed from mobile phones.
Likewise, and as expected, the main interest of Wordpress for Windows Phone 7 compared to other editions (for Android, Symbian or iOS) is distinguished in the application's user interface.
This version of the application absorbs the natural environment of Windows Phone 7, called Tiles (or Teselas), so that it offers a very comfortable and easy-to-use menu system. In this way, the different options for managing the program are divided into small squares that allow us to have everything very close at hand to control the administration of the blog that we are editing.
