The British company Wileyfox has announced the launch of its first two terminals in Spain: the Storm and the Swift. And they come with a great idea under their arm: to offer fully customizable terminals. For this, Wileyfox has opted to use the Cyanogen OS 12.1 operating system.
Cyanogen OS is an Android- based operating system that allows the user to customize the system practically from scratch. It allows full customization of the user interface and offers full control over the privacy of data shared by applications. And, of course, it is free of bloatware , that is, those pre-installed applications that most manufacturers include on their smartphones.
Wileyfox ensures that it will allow users to customize the entire terminal, from the physical buttons and touch keys, to the possibility of completely changing the interface using a series of themes. Each theme can be used to change the wallpaper, icons, fonts, and even power-on animations. The British company says that it will give the user the option of including some pre-installed applications, or let the user mount their system completely from scratch.
In addition to offering the possibility of customizing the terminal, Wileyfox will also offer an extra privacy and security in its terminals. The British company's smartphones include Qualcomm SecureMSM technology, in addition to SecureBoot functionality. Thus, with the new Wileyfox terminals, it will be possible to protect applications with a password, keep certain applications hidden or create a list to block calls and text messages, among others.
