As we have been commenting, Vodafone has renewed the entire range of own-brand terminals for this year 2016. We have already seen the characteristics of the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 and the Vodafone Smart Prime 7. Another of the terminals presented by the company is the Smart Ultra 7, a terminal aimed at the mid-range that offers a 5.5-inch screen and enough power for fluid performance. The terminal offers a main camera 13 megapixels, a battery of 3,000 milliamps and connectivity NFC, all for less than 200 euros. We are going to review the features of the Vodafone Smart Ultra 7.
The Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 offers us a classic design, with rounded edges and a start button on the front in the purest style of Samsung terminals. The dimensions of the terminal are 152.2 x 78.12 x 8.68 mm, weighing 150 grams. The terminal is available in black. As for the screen, we have a panel IPS 5.5 - inch LCD with a resolution Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
Inside the terminal are a processor Mediatek 6755 of eight cores running at 1.7 GHz. An ARM Mali-T860MP2 GPU is responsible for the graphics section. Accompanying this set we have 2 GB of RAM and an internal memory of 16 GB capacity. This capacity can be expanded by using microSD cards, but with a maximum capacity of 32GB.
The Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 incorporates a basic photographic set for any mid-range terminal. We have a main camera sensor of 13 megapixels, while the front we have a camera of 5MP. To improve our selfies in low light conditions, the front camera incorporates a flash.
Although it is a simple terminal, the Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 is compatible with category 4 4G networks, so it is capable of reaching a speed of 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. The terminal also incorporates an NFC chip, which will allow us to use the device to make mobile payments and access transport through the use of the Vodafone Wallet application. We should not have too many problems at the level of autonomy, since the Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 incorporates a 3,000 milliamp battery. Taking into account the characteristics of the terminal, a battery of this capacity should allow us to use a day and a half without any problem. To move all this hardware, the manufacturer has opted for the latest version of Google's operating system, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The Vodafone Smart Ultra 7 will be available during the month of June with a price of 200 euros. It will also be possible to buy it together with the Go Watch smartwatch for 270 euros. The Go Watch is a water and dust resistant smartwatch (IP67 certification) that monitors heart activity, alerts you and allows you to control music and the mobile camera, among other functionalities. Of course, we will also have the possibility of acquiring the terminal by means of an installment payment. If we choose this option, the Go Watch smartwatch can be purchased for only 2 euros more per month.
