Vodafone has presented its new terminals of its own manufacture. This year he wanted to go one step further and presented the Smart Platinum 7, a terminal ready to compete in the upper-middle range. The new flagship of the British company wants to seduce users with high-end features at a contained price. Its 400 euros represent a significant investment, but below models like the Samsung Galaxy S7. And what does it offer us? A screen 5.5 inches QHD, metallic design, fingerprint and 16 megapixel camera. It will be enough? Let's review what the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 offers us.
The Smart Platinum 7 has been manufactured using aluminum and 2.5D glass with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The design of the terminal is quite simple, but the use of good quality materials gives it a premium look. The overall dimensions of the terminal are 154 x 75.65 x 6.99 mm, weighing 155 grams. On the back of the device we find a fingerprint reader, another sign that we are dealing with a mid-high-end terminal.
Another proof that Vodafone has put all the meat on the grill with the Smart Platinum 7 is its screen. We have a panel of 5.5 inches with technology AMOLED and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels QHD. The density stays at 534 dots per inch.
If the British company intends to compete with the rest of the devices of the upper-middle range, it knows that the camera is something that it must take care of. The Smart Platinum 7, a priori, seems to incorporate a camera that will be up to the task. The main camera mount a lens 16 megapixels, aperture f / 2.0, system autofocusing phase detection and mode HDR. Accompanying this lens we find a dual-tone flash that will help us when we have to take photos in low light conditions. In addition, the main camera allows you to record video in 4K.
In the front we have a camera with 8 megapixels and allows video recording with resolution Full HD. This sensor is accompanied by an LED flash, which will allow us to take good selfies in any condition.
But how will the new Vodafone smartphone perform ? Well, theoretically at least, it should run any application smoothly and smoothly. The Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 hides inside a Snapdragon 652 chipset from the Qualcomm brand. This chipset incorporates an eight-core processor running at 1.8 GHz and an Adreno 510 GPU. Accompanying this chipset we have 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable by microSD card of up to 128 GB.
The new Vodafone terminal comes with the latest in connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac and NFC. We do not forget something as important as autonomy.
