The health and economic crisis caused by Covid-19 has not prevented Vodafone from maintaining a growth trend in the last quarter. The State of Alarm suspended portability for a time, but the new additions to the company's services (mobile, fiber and TV) have made the operator manage to grow in EBITDA up to 8.2%.
According to Vodafone, this increase is due to different factors. In mobile, due to the new prices and offers in the different rates, as well as the implementation of 5G networks in the Spanish market and the increase in customers in the Lowi brand. On TV for the decision not to renew football rights, since they did not offer high profitability, and creating a catalog of series and films according to what users demand. In addition to offers for SMEs and companies with connectivity and security solutions.
Income from services in the last fiscal quarter of the year is -2.7%, a somewhat more positive figure than that of Q3 2019, which stood at -6.5%. Which translates into a scope of 3,904 million euros in Spain. Total revenues reach 4,296 million euros. Again, a slight increase compared to previous quarters: in Q1 they fell by -10% and in the last quarter by -4%.
