Vivo has today increased its mobile catalog with the new Vivo Z5, a mid-range terminal that has a 6.39-inch screen and triple rear camera. Following the current trend, it equips an on-screen fingerprint sensor, the Snapdragon 712 processor and a large battery. In addition, it has a design with a front camera in the shape of a drop and a bright back with bright colors. We are going to review the features of the new Vivo device.
Big screen and powerful tech suite
The new Vivo Z5 sports a nice design, although it seems that its rear is not made of glass. Specifically, it has a polycarbonate chassis with a glossy finish that simulates glass. The dimensions of the terminal are 159.5 x 75.2 x 8.1 millimeters, with a weight of 189.6 grams.
On the front we have a design with very narrow frames. The front camera is placed in a drop-type notch, with which, according to the manufacturer, a body-screen ratio of 90% is achieved.
And speaking of the screen, the Vivo Z5 has a 6.38-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD + resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. In addition, Vivo has included an under-screen fingerprint reader.
Under the hood we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. This is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, depending on the model, and a maximum of 256 GB of internal storage. The terminal does not have a MicroSD card slot, something that seems to be becoming customary.
In terms of autonomy, the Vivo Z5 equips a 4,500 mAh battery. It charges through a USB Type-C port and features fast charging technology at 22.5 watts.
Triple camera with 48 MP sensor
Following the current trend, the Vivo Z5 is equipped with a triple camera system on its back. The main sensor has a resolution of 48 MP and aperture f / 1.8. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. And the set is completed by a 2 megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture whose function is to achieve the portrait effect.
In the drop we have on the front we find a 32 megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture. On the other hand, the terminal uses Android 9 as the operating system with the FunTouch OS 9 customization layer.
And in terms of connectivity, the Vivo Z5 is equipped with dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a 3.5 mm jack connector.
