Vivo returns to the scene with a new mobile that it has dubbed Vivo Y17. The terminal moves away from other models of the company, replacing the periscope with a notch in the shape of a drop of water. The frames are still reduced, giving the absolute prominence to the screen. In fact, according to the company, it has a screen-to-body ratio of 89%, which favors immersion when using apps or playing games. Its back is simple and clean, with a vertical triple camera and a fingerprint reader to make payments or increase security.
At the design level, it is an elegant mobile. Inspired by the symbiosis of light and water, it presents a color gradient and mirror finish that give it a very visual appearance. The Vivo Y17 also includes a 6.35-inch LCD panel with HD + resolution and a 19.3: 9 aspect ratio. Inside there is room for a 12 nm Helio P35 processor running at a speed of 2.3 GHz. This chip is accompanied by a 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal space. One of the main claims of this phone is found in its Ultra game mode. In this way, it will be possible to prioritize performance when playing games that need more power. This goes hand in hand with the Dual-Turbo mode, which guarantees speed and offers a quiet gaming experience.
Regarding the photographic section, the Vivo Y17 arrives with a 13-megapixel main sensor, a second 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a third 2-megapixel depth camera. It should be noted that the secondary sensor expands the vision up to 120 degrees thanks to the AI. For its part, the front camera reaches a resolution of 20 megapixels, and includes the AI Face Beauty mode, with which we can improve facial characteristics to improve selfies.
For the rest, the Vivo Y17 equips a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging, as well as a Funtouch OS 9 system, based on Android 9 Pie. For now, the terminal will go on sale only in India at a price of 230 euros at the exchange rate. It can be purchased in two colors, blue or purple.
