The Asian company Vivo has confirmed through several official images the existence of the Vivo X5 Max, which will very soon become the thinnest smartphone in the world. The Vivo X5 Max will have a thickness of only 4.75 mm (most modern phones incorporate more than six millimeters thick), and it looks like its official launch will occur during the month of December. Of course, the Vivo X5 Max will be a mobile intended only for the Asian market, and it does not seem that there are many chances that its landing will also occur in Europe.
What Vivo has done today is to confirm the existence of the Vivo X5 Max, also announcing that to achieve this reduced thickness all the internal components of the terminal (with the exception of the battery) have been moved to the sides of the mobile. Thus, Vivo achieved has reached a thickness of 4.75 mm, which outperforms the recently introduced Kazam Tornado 348 whose thickness is set at 5.15 mm (although in favor of this other mobile plays the factor that the terminal itself is available in European territory).
Regarding the technical specifications of the Vivo X5 Max, rumors indicate that this smartphone will be presented with a completely metallic design in which the entire case (both the back and the sides) will be made of a single piece of metal. The display size of 5.5 inches and reach a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
Despite the reduced thickness of the Vivo X5 Max, this terminal will be able to house a MediaTek processor (exact model yet to be specified) with eight cores that will reach a clock speed of 1.7 GHz. The capacity of the RAM memory will be established at 2 GigaBytes, while the internal storage capacity has not transcended for the moment (and it is to be assumed that, due to the reduced thickness of the mobile, there will be no slot for external memory cards).
The Vivo X5 Max will also feature a main camera of 13 megapixels and a front camera of five megapixels. Since the launch of this mobile will take place before the end of the year (that is, before the official arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop), the operating system installed as standard will correspond to Android in its version of Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
We will have to wait until the month of December to know the exact details of the availability and the starting price of this new Vivo mobile. And do not forget that precisely Vivo is the same company that last year 2013 broke all records of mobile presenting the Vivo X3, a smartphone that had a thickness of only 5.75 mm.
