Last week we talked to you about the danger that seems to be hidden behind some Android applications, which could be contaminated with malicious content that can make us more of a mess on the mobile phone and, in the worst case, on the phone bill. Then, we were referring to Steam and Windows, a game that made the mobile screen fog up so that we could draw on it with our finger while, on the other hand, it sent SMS messages or sent us to web pages that could create even more problems in the terminal.
But Steamy Windows is not the only application infected with viruses. And Google has put order, immediately executing the withdrawal of up to 50 applications available from the Android Market and that, in the best of cases, were at least suspected of equipping among their characteristics some type of secondary program that activated unauthorized functions of the mobile.
Through the Android Police website you can consult the complete list of applications that have fallen from the Google storefront, among which are options of all kinds, including productivity applications, terminal performance improvement, libraries of Spicy images and tones, games and even content (which traditionally tend to be among the first to bring the aforementioned malicious content as nasty guests)
In any case, Android users now face a problem that, due to the nature of the platform, is difficult to control: the option to install applications through what are called “fake locations”. This is nothing other than the option of including applications on the mobile without having to go through the Android Market, which is where Google can filter the contents of its online store.
However, since applications can be downloaded through the browser and installed from the file explorer, it is important to know which applications Google has recognized as malicious until now.
