Android 11 is already available in beta for Google terminals. Soon the beta version will arrive to other manufacturers, such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, Huawei or even Samsung. The South Korean firm usually updates a large number of mobiles, but… how can I know if my Samsung mobile is going to update to Android 11?
It depends on many factors whether or not Samsung updates one of its terminals to the latest version of the operating system. Normally the company updates for a period of four years for those high-end terminals, and this period could be reduced in the mid-range or entry phones. Mainly because the features are not that powerful, and maybe the new version consumes more resources.
If you have a high-end Samsung mobile: check when this device was launched. If the output of that Samsung Galaxy was less than four years ago, it is very likely that it does update to Android 11. Of course, depending on the model it will take longer to update. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + will update to Android 11, but they will be the last high-end Samsung terminals to receive this version. However, the Galaxy S10 will get the update sooner.
If you have a mid-range Samsung Galaxy mobile: like a Samsung Galaxy A or a higher Galaxy M, the updates are somewhat different for the benefits. Normally the update period is 2 years or 1 year for some versions. Again, the oldest and most compatible terminals will take time to update. For example, the Samsung Galaxy A71 will update to Android 11. Also the Galaxy A70, but this could take longer to receive the new version.
If you have an entry-level Samsung mobile: such as the Galaxy A10 or Galaxy M. In this case, they only usually update the terminals announced up to 1 year before. For example, the Galaxy A10 will update to Android 11, but it could not update the Galaxy A6. The update date is usually the same as that of other Galaxy A terminals.
