What's new in EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1?
The news that arrive with the latest version of the Honor and Huawei layer are diverse. First, the Always on Display mode is completely renewed with a system called 3D Rendered Always-on Display that includes various custom animations with 3D effects, as well as an improved notification system.
The system multi-window is also improved. Now this functionality allows communication between applications, enabling the exchange of images, texts and files by dragging your finger across the interface. The last change to the interface has to do with a feature called "Friction Slide." This feature improves the sliding of the interface through the different menus, with a variable refresh rate and a much more agile performance.
If we talk about the new features of EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 in applications, the two companies have introduced MeeTime, a video calling application in high definition (up to 1080p) that promises to maintain video quality even when the network signal is poor. Initially it will only be available in some Asian countries, although it will be progressively activated in the coming months.
Another of the applications that come with this update is Celia, Huawei's virtual assistant that supplements Google Assistant and that is finally presented around the world. To this must be added the improvements of Huawei Share, the Huawei device interconnection system. Now we can exchange information with any device of the brand, including smart speakers, tablets, computers and mobile phones.
The last two big news come with multiscreen collaboration and Cross-Device Photo Gallery. The first allows to control the brand's telephones through a program on the computer. The novelty comes with the possibility of taking audio and video calls on the computer, as well as opening files and links. As for the Cross-Device Photo Gallery platform, its functions will allow us to gather all the photos of Huawei devices in one, with a bet very similar to that of Google Photos.
Will Google stop having my Huawei mobile if I update to EMUI 10.1?
If our Honor or Huawei mobile is certified by Google as standard, the phone will continue to have the services of the great G. On mobile phones such as the P40 or the Mate 30, Google will still not be available, although we can use certain methods to install Google on a Huawei mobile.
