The Japanese company Sony has starred in a new performance test in which it has been announced the existence of a new mid-range smartphone belonging to the Xperia mobile line. This smartphone seems to respond to the E2003 and E2033 names , and although its commercial name is unknown at the moment, the performance test reveals that we are facing an apparently affordable terminal.
Reveals the performance test, this new mobile of Sony incorporates a screen of 4.6 inches to reach a resolution QHD of 960 x 540 pixels (with a pixel density in the set screen 239 ppi). This terminal measures do not appear in the performance test, but considering the size of your screen probably are talking about a phone with similar measures to those of the Sony Xperia E3 (137.1 x 69.4 x 8.5 mm).
And what does this new smartphone hide under its casing? The performance test speaks of a MediaTek processor (model MT6752) with four cores (Cortex-A53) that reaches a clock speed of 1.5 GHz accompanied by a graphics processor model Mali-T760. The capacity of the RAM memory is 1 GigaByte, while the internal storage space offers a space of 8 GigaBytes (it has not transcended if it is an expandable space by means of an external card).
The operating system that gives life to this Sony mobile corresponds to Android in the Android version 4.4.4 KitKat, and seeing its technical specifications in principle we can rule out that it will be updated to Lollipop after its launch (although there is no official confirmation about). This terminal also incorporates a main camera of five megapixels and a front camera of two megapixels.
This new Sony smartphone is scheduled to be officially unveiled at MWC 2015. And remember that, precisely in reference to MWC 2015, rumors have recently appeared that Sony could present the Sony Xperia Z4 after this technology fair. We will have to wait until March 2 to see if this information is correct.
On the other hand, this performance test confirms that, even in dates close to the presentations of the flagships of the big brands, there is a world beyond the high-end. And the Japanese company Sony knows it very well, because beyond the Sony Xperia Z3 has a wide range of mid - range mobile line Xperia which includes handsets such as the Sony Xperia E3 (presented in September of the 2014), the Sony Xperia C3 (July) or Sony Xperia T3 (June).
The most recent of these mobile midrange, the Sony Xperia E3 incorporates a screen of 4.5 inches with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 of four cores running at 1.2 GHz, 1 gigabyte of RAM, 4 gigabytes of card internal memory expandable via microSD, a main camera of five megapixels and a battery with 2,330 mAh. And its price? Approximately 150 euros today.
