Neffos, the mobile division of TP-Link, has also brought some of its models to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Among them we have two terminals that we did not know yet. They are the Neffos X20 and the Neffos X20 Pro, two phones with a double camera, a large screen and a large battery that will arrive in the third quarter of the year. Although TP-Link has let us see them at the fair, the truth is that they have given very few details of these two terminals. They couldn't even be "fiddled" with, since they were tucked into protective urns.
The first thing that catches the attention of the new Neffos X20 and X20 Pro is its design. They both feature teardrop notched displays that seem to fit the frames a lot. Of course, in the lower area of the terminal we do have a black frame with the brand's name. Still, in the press images, it looks like a pretty slick design.
On the back we have a very shiny finish with gradient designs. That we have been able to appreciate at the fair, where we have seen that the back makes a kind of reflections of different colors depending on the incidence of light. Everything seems to indicate that the material used is glass. The double camera is located in the upper left and in a vertical position. We also see that the fingerprint reader is placed right in the center.
Double camera and large screen
Although we do not have all the technical details, we do know some of its characteristics. Both the Neffos X20 and the Neffos X20 Pro are equipped with a 6.26-inch screen with a 19: 9 aspect ratio. Inside they incorporate a multi-core processor (they have not specified how many cores it has) and 4 GB of RAM. In addition, they have a 4,100 milliamp battery.
Both phones sport a dual rear camera. A set consisting of a main 13 megapixel sensor and a second 5 megapixel sensor. The latter acts as a depth sensor for portrait or bokeh shots.
Both the main and front cameras have an AI system. The forward uses an Artificial Intelligence Beauty mode to enhance selfies. This system is able to learn to identify and improve the facial features of a person. On the other hand, the main camera uses the AI system for scene recognition. It is capable of detecting up to 17 different scenes and objects to automatically select the best settings for the best photos.
TP-Link will take advantage of the launch of the Neffos X20 and X20 Pro to launch the NFUI 9.0 software based on the 9.0 Pie version of the Android operating system. As the company has commented, NFUI 9.0 incorporates, among other things, improvements in the Camera application. This will now feature the improved Bokeh Portrait, which will be available on both the front and rear cameras.
At the moment the manufacturer has not communicated the launch date or the price of the new devices. We only know that it will hit the market in the third quarter of the year.
