Everything indicates that the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will occur in a couple of months. There are serious probabilities (this is said by rumors) that the new flagship of the Korean firm will be unveiled at a special event on March 29 and that it will go on sale just three weeks later. While that moment does not come, rumors related to the technical data of the terminal, but also to its coming-out, have been leaking - and more will be filtered. One of the most important points, without a doubt, has to do with the design, which, as in each edition, will undergo important changes.
The first thing to say is that, based on the data we have on the table, Samsung intends to bring out a pair of Samsung Galaxy S8s. The first would have a 5-inch screen, while the second could exceed 6. It is also expected that the two will enjoy curved panels similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, so that the name "edge" would no longer make sense. Although the size is similar to that of its predecessors, the fact that they are not framed by any edge would make the feeling of spaciousness more pronounced. They say, on the other hand, that there will be no space left for Samsung to print the brand's name on the front of the phone. Any annotation will have to be stamped on the back.
We would be facing an "infinite" screen (that's how the experts call it) that would extend across the front of the phone. The edges, both upper and lower, would be very small, leaving all the prominence to the main panel.
But there is another important issue, which has to do with the location of the fingerprint sensor, an essential functionality in any smartphone today. Rumors are betting on a change of location, taking into account that the physical button so characteristic of Samsung would have disappeared. In this way, there are serious possibilities that the fingerprint reader ends up at the back of the terminal, just below the camera. There are other theories that point to the possibility that the sensor is finally located on the front, but below the screen. It is expected, yes, that the upper part of the phone will include the iris sensor that we have already seen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and that would add a security plus to the team.
It also appears that the new Samsung terminals will have a dual camera configuration. The same one that almost all the high-end terminals that we have seen in this last year bring. We know, of course, that important improvements are expected in the performance, speed and, of course, the quality of the images.
On the other hand, Samsung is expected to add important changes to the structure and materials with which the phone would be made. It may, in this sense, have been worked in a combination of glass and metals that would give the device a very elegant and futuristic touch.
And you, how would you like the new Samsung Galaxy S8 to be ?
