LG could be preparing the reduced version of its current flagship LG G6. The device, which would come under the name LG G6 mini or LG Q6, could be released tomorrow, July 11. From what we know so far thanks to the leaks, it would be a device very similar to its older brother, although with a lower technical profile. It could have a 5.4-inch screen, an eight-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. Although it is expected with somewhat lower performance than the standard version, everything indicates that the LG G6 mini would continue to retain a Full Vision panel with an 18: 9 ratio. Read on to find out everything we know so far about this model.
Display and layout
The LG G6 mini or LG Q6 would have a smaller screen than the LG G6. According to rumors it would be (IPS) 5.2 inches instead of the 5.7 inches of the standard model. Of course, this would not prevent you from maintaining the same resolution and ratio. Instead of having a 16: 9 format, its diagonal would again be somewhat more pronounced: 18: 9. This would allow it to have a more panoramic appearance, which would break with the classic scheme that we usually find in other rival mobiles. Given the proportions of this screen, we would have to speak of a slightly special resolution. Like the LG G6, the LG G6 mini would be capable of displaying QuadHD + or 1,440 x 2,880 pixel resolution images. More than Full HD and 2K, although without reaching 4K.

At the design level, the LG G6 mini or LG Q6 would look very similar to the standard version, with a chassis in which metal and glass would be combined. The fingerprint reader would still be located at the rear, allowing us to make payments or increase security. This mobile would also be completely resistant to water and dust thanks to the IP68 certification. It could dive up to 1 meter deep for about half an hour. Also, we expect it with dimensions somewhat smaller than those of the LG G6, somewhat less thick and heavy.
2. Eight-core processor
The LG G6 landed on the market with a Snapdragon 821 processor, a quad-core chip with two of them running at 2.40 GHz and the other two at 2 GHz. Apparently, the new LG G6 mini would have an eight-core processor. nuclei of which there are not too many details. On the memories there is more data. The device would arrive with 3 GB of RAM and with several storage options: 32 GB or 64 GB. Any of them expandable through the use of microSD cards.
3. A single main camera?
Although the latest leaks show an LG G6 mini with a double rear camera, apparently the terminal would only arrive with a main camera. It would offer a resolution of 13 megapixels and would have a dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization. This feature would be somewhat different from the standard version. It should be remembered that the LG G6 has a double rear camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.8. This mobile offers the possibility of being able to make 4K recordings. Therefore, everything indicates that the mini would also be able to do so.
4. Operating system
The LG G6 mini would arrive governed by Android 7.1.1. It is the latest version of Google's mobile platform that boasts some really cool features. One of the most important is the multi-window function, which allows you to use several applications at the same time from the same screen. Nougat also has a more minimalist and easy-to-use notification system. In addition, the Doze power saving function has been improved, which is getting smarter every time.
5. Battery and connections
None of the leaks that have been published to date give data on the battery of the LG G6 mini or LG Q6. Only the possibility of having wireless charging is mentioned. The LG G6 has a 3,300 mAh with fast charging 3.1. It is very likely that the mini model is somewhat smaller. In any case, the fact that it offers a system for fast charging will allow it to reach fifty percent of its capacity in just a few minutes. Which is always an advantage when we are in a hurry and go to a place where it is impossible to put it to charge.
Likewise, everything indicates that the LG G6 mini would also have a USB type C, GPS, NFC, as well as WiFi or LTE to connect to high-speed mobile networks. As we said at the beginning of this article, the presentation of the LG Q6 is expected for tomorrow, July 11. So far press invitations have been sent in Poland referring to an LG BarbeQ. This model is associated with the next LG G6 companion on the market.
