Display and layout
The LG G7 ThinQ wouldn't skimp on display. It would feature an infinity panel (18: 9 aspect ratio) with a size of 6 inches. It is expected to achieve QuadHD + resolution and include M + technology, which ensures better brightness and lower power consumption. Also, the screen of the device would be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 system, which would provide better protection against shocks and drops. It should be noted that the screen ratio would be around 85%, a very common figure in other high ranges that we have already seen this year.
Regarding the design, the leaked images suggest that the new LG mobile would have a notch or notch , which would drastically reduce the frames of the upper part. We can say, judging by the rumors, that the terminal would look very similar to the LG V30 + ThinQ, logically with some obvious changes. One of them would be the placement of the double camera, which would be located in a vertical position with the LED Flash right next to it and the fingerprint reader below. The phablet seal would be placed in a central position with the company logo presiding over the bottom.
Another of the new additions would be the incorporation of a physical button destined to activate some precise functions. For example, we could press it to access Google Assistant or to enter the camera directly. The new LG G7 ThinQ would be quite stylish and elegant. It would be made of metal with slightly rounded edges and a thickness that would be around 8 millimeters. There would also be a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a type of connection that is no longer present in some current smartphones. The device would also be completely resistant to water and dust thanks to the IP68 certification.
Processor and memory
Inside the LG G7 ThinQ there would be room for the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. This SoC would be accompanied by 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB for internal storage. Any of these versions could be expanded by using microSD-type cards. Thus, we expect a fairly fast and efficient device, which would not disappoint when using the latest applications or working with several processes at the same time.
The sound would also be another point in its favor. The G7 ThinQ would land with Boombox speakers, so we would have higher quality bass. Likewise, it would also have compatibility with higher fidelity audio formats, such as aptX HD.
Photographic section
Regarding the photographic section, LG's new high-end would equip a dual 16 megapixel main sensor with f / 1.5 aperture. The terminal would also boast of larger pixels to capture more light. On the front we would come across an 8 megapixel sensor and a 107º wide angle to capture snapshots with a more panoramic range of vision. On the other hand, it is important to note that the company would have included artificial intelligence through Graphy 2.0.
This means that the LG G7 ThinQ would be able to recognize all kinds of scenes to establish the ideal settings. It would also offer portrait mode, animated photos or even avatars in 3D or 2D, a function that we already saw in the Samsung Galaxy S9.
Battery and connections
The battery is one of the sections in which we usually pay attention to when buying a new terminal. The LG G7 ThinQ would include one that would not be bad at all. It would have a capacity of 3,000 mAh, but the best thing is that it would come with Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charge to charge the device in a few minutes. Regarding the connections, the leaks reveal that it would have GPS, WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.
It would also be governed by Android 8.1, the latest version of Google's mobile platform. Furthermore, it is said that it would be one of the first devices to receive Android P by the time the platform was available.
Presentation
As we say, the new LG G7 ThinQ will be announced on May 2 at an exclusive event to be held in Seoul and New York. At the moment, it is unknown when it will be available for sale, but it is expected to happen weeks after its presentation. The price is also unknown. We hope to have more information on the day of its official announcement.
