The two new OnePlus terminals are about to fall, in fact, May 14 is the date on which we hope to meet the OnePlus 7 and its rumored more advanced version or OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus is a company that has been in “little” time the market but that has managed to win the hearts and pockets of many users. Its quality / price ratio was its main asset when it came to selling its first products, but after several years its management takes another turn and its two new terminals are the ones that will represent the intentions of the company.
They have not been officially presented but no smartphone can escape the clutches of the leaks. Both terminals have been seen in photographs and even their specifications have come to light. We tell you in detail everything we know about the new terminals of the Asian firm OnePlus.
OnePlus 7, improving on the OnePlus 6T
This year we will have the novelty of having two OnePlus devices in the same presentation. Although before a normal model was launched and then a renewal with the tag "T", this year we have a conventional version accompanied by a Pro version. The OnePlus 7 in particular would be a modest renewal of the OnePlus 6T, the main changes would be found in inside. The design would suffer variations, but none were too drastic to be considered differential.
The front of the terminal would be all screen with a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel and FullHD + resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) Despite having a design in which the screen would occupy almost the entire front, the notch would still be present and would be drop-style of water. The fingerprint reader like its predecessor would be integrated into the screen, the technology that it would use has not yet been revealed. We can assume that it would be continuous and keep the optical sensor, although it could surprise and include an ultrasonic sensor as Samsung has done with its Samsung Galaxy S10 +.
When turning the terminal we would find a double camera as in the OnePlus 6T. This double camera would be placed in the center of the terminal according to the renderings seen to date. The layout would be identical to the previous generation, a vertical capsule positioned in the center of the rear shell with an accompanying dual-tone LED flash just below. The main sensor would have a focal length f / 1.7 and 48 megapixels, while the secondary one would stay at 5 megapixels. This sensor would be responsible for helping to capture more information for photos with blur or bokeh effect.
Inside the terminal as usual OnePlus would mount the latest of the latest. The processor chosen to move Android 9 Pie under OxygenOS is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, they would accompany it from 6GB to 8GB of RAM. The storage would not be expandable, although the basic model would arrive with 128GB and the most advanced version would reach 256GB, more than enough amounts for any user. The autonomy would be marked by a battery that would increase in size, 3,700mAh. A capacity that ensures reaching the end of the day without much problem, in the case of demanding more from the terminal the 20W fast charge would achieve reduced charging times.
OnePlus 7 Pro: retractable camera, 5G and screen to remove the hiccups
It is the first time that a OnePlus terminal has the tag "Pro" so this novelty has to mean something. According to Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, this terminal comes to compete with the high-end. It is a "flagship" with all the letters, this is intuited by the characteristics with which this device will arrive. Although inside it will be practically identical to its brother the OnePlus 7. It will mount a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, which will be accompanied by 6GB, 8GB and up to 12GB of RAM along with 128GB and 256GB for storage.
The battery capacity increases over the non-Pro model, an increase of 300mAh. In the end, we are facing a 4000mAh battery that is accompanied by a fast charge called Warp Charge, the power of this charge is 30W. Both for the capacity and for the fast charge we would be talking about a terminal that could have one of the best autonomies of 2019. Without a doubt, we would have to wait to see how it behaves in real use, but there are good indications at first. It would be compatible with 5G networks thanks to integrating the Snapdragon X50 5G modem.

The front of the terminal would be all screen, with frames reduced to a minimum in all directions and without a trace of the notch or notch. We can ask ourselves, where is the camera? And is that OnePlus has taken the example of its cousins Oppo and Vivo, including a motorized retractable camera. This system will show the front camera when the user decides to use it and will hide it when it is not being used. If we continue with the front, we have a screen of almost 7 inches, 6.7 to be specific. The panel technology would be Super Optic Amoled and its resolution would be around 3,120 x 1,440 pixels or what has been Quad HD + with an elongated 19.5: 9 format. The fingerprint reader would be integrated into it, the technology that it uses is still a mystery.
This screen, unlike all OnePlus terminals, would be curved, the angle of the curve is still unknown, but we can assume that it will be considerable. Very much in the style of Samsung terminals, something that many users love, but many others hate. In addition, this screen would have a refresh rate of 90Hz making the experience of moving through the menus and navigating smoothly. It would also be used in games that can achieve a considerable frame rate per second.
In the photographic section, the OnePlus 7 Pro stands out above the OnePlus 7. Or at least that's what the leaked speciations tell us. The photographic set would be made up of three vertically placed sensors located on the back of the device. The main sensor would be 48 megapixels with a focal length f / 1.6, it would integrate optical and electronic stabilization (OIS + EIS), the secondary sensor would be a telephoto zoom lens with up to three magnifications, 8 megapixels and a focal f / 2.4, the third and last sensor would be a 16 megapixel wide-angle lens (117 degrees) with an f / 2.2 focal length. The front periscope camera would have an f / 2.0 focal length and 16 megapixels, more than enough to take selfies.
Assumed prices for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro
With these terminals OnePlus wants to compete in the high-end from you to you. It is more than clear that this is going to affect prices, according to rumors the OnePlus 7 would start at 550 euros in its most basic model while the OnePlus 7 Pro would be around 600-650 euros in its basic model. At the moment this is all we know about these terminals, as soon as they are officially presented we will inform you as soon as possible.
