The next high-end from the Korean firm Samsung, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 9, has just been approved by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) under the code SM-N960F, corresponding to the international version of it. This means that his presentation could be, even earlier than all the rumors already point, on August 9 at a special event in New York City.
Finding ourselves already at the gates of July, in your expert we have decided to look deeply to tell you all the rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9. We are going to offer you in detail everything about what, presumably, we are going to find in the next flagship of the Korean brand. Will we be satisfied? Will it be a qualitative leap compared to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8? Will it be worth the change a year from now? These are questions whose final answer will be expected. While we can make our own guesses, based on everything we already know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Let's get started!
A fifth physical button and smaller frames
Let's not expect big changes in the design of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The biggest intrigue lies in seeing if, finally, in this terminal we could have the fingerprint sensor under the screen. According to rumors, no. We can see, for example, in this leak of a possible official case, how the fingerprint sensor is located under the photographic sensor, unlike the previous Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that we had it right next to the double rear camera.
One of the big changes in the design would be the possible appearance of a fifth additional button whose function is unknown at the moment. Some suggest that it could be a physical camera trigger, a button that would be added to the ones we already have: volume up and down, terminal lock and Bixby button. If you look at the tweet embedded in the upper part, in the render of the case, you will see a small additional button on the right side. Just to be able to take pictures in a much more comfortable way, right?
Others however claim that this button would not be for the camera. A well-known Korean media says that this button would be for the screenshot, something that could also be perfectly plausible since it is a common action.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would also have frames even smaller than its predecessor. This was shown by a filtered photograph of the front panel, with a noticeable reduction of the bottom frame. Step by step, the infinity screen is increasingly living up to its name.
Below you can see the differences between both terminals, if this design becomes a reality.
As for the screen size, we would have a 6.4-inch panel with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 and 514 pixels per inch, practically the same figures that we see in the previous Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
A battery that lasts and lasts
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 wants to be with you as long as possible, without having to depend on the charger. That is why numerous media have pointed out that its battery will have a maximum charge of 4,000 mAh. With this autonomy we can get to the day of intensive use without problems, with a day and a half if the use is regular. Remember that the current Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a 3,300 mAh battery, which would be a great improvement in this regard. And not only this, since the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would have fast wireless charging, improved in speed compared to what we already have in other terminals of the firm.
The new amperage of the wireless charging will be 12V and 2.1A, when the normal thing until now in the high-end Samsung was to have a charge of 9V and 1.67A.
And the processor, RAM and capacity of the terminal?
Ice Universe, one of the usual leakers of the Samsung brand, announced last May that an unpublished model could appear with up to 8 GB of RAM and, attention, 512 MB of internal storage. Of course, it may only be available for purchase in Korea, the rest having to 'settle' with 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
As for the processor, there would be no changes compared to the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 +. The eight-core Exynos 9810 runs at an impressive 2.9 GHz clock speed. It consumes 20% less than its predecessor, the Exynos 8895, and is 40% more powerful than it. A processor that will support demanding levels of graphics in games and virtual reality, artificial intelligence to learn with the user and that has been able to provide all the good that we have seen in the photographic section of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 +, with reduction of Real-time noise and live blur thanks to Live Focus technology.
And the photographic section?
We are left with the most recent rumor of the new Samsung flagship, according to Sammobile. The new photographic equipment that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will have will incorporate ISOCELL plus technology, which will add improvements in the color and brightness settings of the captured images.
In addition, it will add 15% more sensitivity in night shots, thus increasing the sharpness of photos in low light. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could therefore be the first Samsung terminal to incorporate this new technology, which will delight all photography fans.
A (much) improved S Pen
And we cannot finish a special on Samsung's Note range without paying attention to its true differentiating note, the stylus that it has always incorporated, the S Pen. Again, the leak expert Ice Universe, on his Twitter account, has dropped that this new S Pen will be the best we have seen so far. In fact, it ensures that the new S Pen will have a 'soul of its own'. Do you mean that it will learn from use as its owner manages it?
We'll get out of doubt about these rumors sooner rather than later when the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is finally announced. Will it be next August 9? We will continue to inform.
