Until autumn we will not be able to see closely the renewal of the official Google terminal. The new Pixel 4 'suffers', how could it be otherwise, a constant trickle of leaks in the form of renders, concepts and data of technical characteristics that are discovering it in its entirety. Nothing is left to surprise. In this special we are going to collect everything that is already known about the new Google Pixel 4 and thus the user will be able to get an idea of whether it will be worth the purchase or not. Here we go.
At the moment, something we do have confirmed by Google itself and it is something that we expected a lot. Although it is true that the post-processing of the photographs taken by the Google camera is recognized as one of the best, it is no less true that, in the middle of 2019, a double sensor was missing in a terminal of the Internet giant. Or triple. And the image that has been allowed to be seen through the official Google account on Twitter harbors hopes that, at least, we will have two sensors. You just have to look at the top left of the terminal.
As of now, all the information revealed in this special are hearsay. All, nothing or part of it could be true.
We start with the photographic section and it seems that, following in the wake of the new iPhone (and as we have seen in the previous photos) the new Google Pixel 4 could house more than one camera, without even knowing if it is one pair of lenses or three, accompanied by the LED flash. A famous youtuber expert in leaks, (Unbox Therapy), affirms that it will have two rear cameras and a third 'spectral sensor' that serves to avoid the flickering of light when recording video.
Now it's the turn of the fingerprint sensor layout. The normal thing in the Pixel was to find it in the back… until the next Google Pixel 4. Now, the fingerprint sensor can go in two directions: under the screen, something that many terminals are already adopting, such as the recent Xiaomi Mi 9T, or, simply, eliminating itself, opting for an improved facial recognition.
And the notch? The Pixel 3, at present, would not pass for having the most modern design, due to that great notch that crowns the screen. On the Pixel 4, it seems, the notch would disappear due to a narrow bezel that would house the call speaker and 'five different imaging units', perhaps an infrared facial recognition like the one that the Pocophone F1 has and that works in complete darkness. Could a double selfie camera be among these five units?
Thanks to True Tone technology, which we can enjoy on an Apple terminal, the screen adjusts the color temperature to match the brightness of the environment. In this way, the screen will always find the right tone to offer a colder or warmer image without us perceiving it. Apparently, indications that the company is testing a similar function have been discovered in the code of the new version of Google's operating system, Android Q.
