The way in which these types of scams operate is very simple. The sender impersonates Banco Santander, urging us to click on a link attached to the SMS. The link in question contains a web page that perfectly simulates the virtual access of the bank's website.
After entering the access data, the information is sent to the robbers to carry out all kinds of unauthorized operations, from transferring money to foreign accounts to buying high-value products in international online stores. Even to leave the account in negative numbers.
