- Current rates for 20 euros in Vodafone, Orange, Movistar and Yoigo
- Current rates for 20 euros in low cost operators
O2, Telefónica's low cost operator, is now available in our country after leaving the trial period. Their offer is simple and concise: a single mobile rate of 20 euros per month in which they emphasize that there is no fine print. No surprises on the bill, the O2 mobile rate has unlimited calls and 20 GB of data. It also offers unlimited SMS, all without permanence or penalties. In addition, once the megabytes are gone you can continue browsing at a speed of 64 kbps.
O2 faces various competitors, who also have similar rates at the same price. This is the case of Pepephone with La Inimitable, or the new Amena rate, which, like O2, has one in its catalog with 20 GB and unlimited calls for 20 euros per month. If you are interested in knowing what current options you have right now in terms of rates at a price similar to that of O2, do not stop reading. We reveal all that you can currently use.
Current rates for 20 euros in Vodafone, Orange, Movistar and Yoigo
The four most important operators in our country offer some mobile rates similar to that of O2. But, are they really worth it if we compare them with this low cost?
This is not the case if we are talking specifically about Movistar. The company has rate # 4, which is the most similar in price to that of O2. The truth is that conditions are much worse. It offers 100 minutes to landlines and mobiles and only 4 GB of data. In addition, it costs two euros more per month than O2, 22 euros. If we want unlimited minutes and more gigs in Movistar, we have to prepare our pockets. And the fact is that the rate most similar to that of its low cost sister rival is # 15, with unlimited minutes and 15 GB for data for 40 euros, double the price.
Vodafone has a rate of 20 euros per month, but like Movistar, with worse conditions than O2. It is the Mega Yuser, with only 3.5 GB for browsing and 60 minutes for calls. If we go up 10 euros more, for 30 euros a month, Vodafone has the Red S rate, which already offers unlimited calls, although only 6 GB for data. For its part, Orange does not have a fee of 20 euros. The closest to this price is the Go Play, which costs 24 euros per month and offers 100 minutes for calls and 7 GB for data.
And what about Yoigo? It is true that it is slightly cheaper than other operators such as Movistar, although, in this case, the O2 rate continues to be the winner. The most similar Yoigo in price is La Sinfín 7 GB (unlimited calls and 7 GB to navigate) for 20.80 euros per month. In any case, this operator has a very interesting rate, which continues to seduce many users who change companies. We refer to La Sinfín 25 GB, which, as its name suggests, offers 25 GB for data, in addition to unlimited calls for only 25 euros per month. In addition, with all its rates, Yoigo makes a 20% discount for the first six months of the contract.
Current rates for 20 euros in low cost operators
Perhaps it is more ethical to compare O2's rate with its low-cost rivals, who ultimately play in the same league. In this sense, the most similar, if not exact, is the one offered by Amena. Orange's low-cost operator has a rate that also offers unlimited calls and 20 GB for data for 20 euros per month. In addition, it also allows you to send free SMS (although there is a limit of 1,000 messages per month). Like the O2 rate, once the browsing speed has been reached, it will be reduced to 64 kb. The main difference (for the better) with the O2 rate is that it includes 60 minutes per month for international calls and roaming. Of course, calling through the Libon application.
Pepephone's La Inimitable rate is not only equal to that of O2, but also exceeds it. This has 23 GB to navigate, instead of 20 GB, and unlimited calls for 20 euros per month. Of course, in your case the SMS are not included and have a cost of 10.89 cents per message. However, in the same way as the rest of the operators, the speed is also reduced in case of consuming all the data. It will not be necessary to pay an additional extra. Another of its advantages is that if you travel to European Union countries you can call as if you were in Spain and also have 5.48 GB of your national data voucher to navigate. For its part, you will not have a commitment to stay and you can change the rate every month if you want.
And, outside of this we no longer see anything much more interesting. One of Simyo's personalized rates, for example, allows us to pay 20 euros per month. It does have unlimited calls, although we will only have 10 GB to navigate instead of 20 GB. MásMóvil has another personalized rate that for 30 euros offers unlimited calls, but only 3 GB of data. Also, SMS are not unlimited and have an individual cost of 9.68 cents. Lowi's personalized rate costs 22 euros and with that it offers us 12 GB for data and 120 minutes for calls (accumulative for another month in the case of not spending them).
As we can see, there are few current options that for 20 euros offer unlimited calls and 20 GB to navigate with unlimited SMS. We have really only found the O2 rate, Amena's and Pepephone's La Inimitable, which far exceeds the rest of the rivals.
