The truth is that the tests are a bit exaggerated, but they can help us to see if, for example, the screen resists scratches well. Or also to see if the terminal bends. The latest victim of this little torture has been the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, the first mobile with a sliding screen from the Chinese manufacturer.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 resists better than expected
The tests carried out on the Chinese terminal by JerryRigEverything are the usual ones. Test the screen's resistance first by scratching it with different types of metal tips. Up to level 6 it resists correctly.
The second test consists of scratching the cameras with a utility knife. Later, he does a good review of the upper frame and the sides with a kind of blade. And, of course, there is no lack of the test in which it scratches the ceramic back. It holds up very well, reaching level 8 and thus beating the front.
Complete the tests with a burning of the screen using a lighter and the typical test in which you try to bend the terminal using force with your hands. In this last test, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 resists like a boar and does not break at any time. After all these tests, the screen sliding system continues to work correctly.
Other mobiles like the Oppo Find X have withstood the JerryRigEverything tests much worse. This can be due to two important factors. The first that the Oppo terminal has an automatic sliding system, much more delicate than the manual that includes the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. And, on the other hand, the ceramic housing of the Xiaomi terminal seems much more resistant than the glass of others devices.
