It was one of the surprises of last summer. Its name is Sony Xperia Z Ultra and it has the peculiarity of being the smartphone with the largest screen on the market. The phablet concept, or tabletphone, falls short of its 6.4-inch panel and FullHD resolution, and we could almost understand it as a small-sized tablet with a 16: 9 layout rather than as a large format phone. However we want to understand the nature of this device, the reality is that it is a voluminous candy for those users looking for power and multimedia performance in a mobile device. And now, in addition, available at more or less bearable prices thanks to theBritish-born operator Vodafone.
The red company has announced the addition of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra to its catalog. It is an exclusive of the operator, which will be the only one to market this device during the next two months. In this way, those who are not willing or able to pay the 740 euros that the device costs in free format will be able to access any of the offers that Vodafone displays. These, as always, are linked to a series of conditions that the customer will have to accept in order to take home the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, such as signing a commitment to stay and hiring certain rates.
Thus, for example, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra could be ours without initially paying a single euro, as long as we become clients of the RED, RED2 or RED3 rates, which allow unlimited calls and SMS messages, as well as franchises for data traffic of between 1.5 and five GB, depending on which we hire. The prices for these rates, yes, will range between 61.7 and 104 euros per month "" although during the first six months a discount of 25 percent would be applied "".
It is not the only option available to be able to take the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, although it is the cheapest at first. If the customer decides on one of the Base rates, the device will require an initial payment of 150 euros. However, there will be a compensation in the payment of the monthly invoice, since the Base options are somewhat more bearable. Thus, what we would pay at least month to month would range between 30.25 and almost 50 euros, also applying a 25 percent discount during the first semester after hiring. These rates include a 1 GB allowance for mobile data traffic, a bundle of1,000 SMS messages and voice billing that varies between the charge of 1.21 cents per minute and the availability of packages of 100 and 350 minutes.
In all cases, the rates are compatible with the Vodafone 4G data network, which is accessible free of charge to the customer with the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, a phone that, having LTE connectivity, is ready to navigate at speeds that, in effective terms, it is capable of reaching download peaks of up to 50 Mbps on Vodafone infrastructures.
