The Japanese company Sony has just officially presented two new phablets: it is the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, a smartphone with a screen of no less than six inches that will hit the market together with another identical version with a double SIM card slot (Xperia T2 Ultra Dual). Recall that the term "phablet" comes to refer to those mobiles that given their specifications are halfway between a smartphone and a tablet. In short, these are terminals that incorporate a large screen but are still designed primarily to be used as mobile phones.
Returning to the new terminal Sony, the Xperia T2 Ultra, this is a phone that incorporates a screen Triluminos (s variant screens Sony competing against SuperAMOLED of Samsung) to six inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Although the screen size, this terminal has a thickness of only 7.6 mm, which puts it even below the thickness of other models of the same brand such as Sony Xperia Z1.
Inside the Xperia T2 Ultra we will find a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that will operate at a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Said processor is accompanied by a memory RAM of 1 gigabyte. Regarding the internal storage, this phablet will incorporate a memory of 8 GigaBytes that can be increased up to 32 GigaBytes by means of an external microSD storage card.
As for the camera - one of the most interesting specifications of Sony phones - we will find two sensors. The first consisting of a main chamber (located at the rear of the terminal) of megapixel thirteen with sensor Exmor RS that, in the words of the Japanese company, ensures higher image quality and the possibility of video recording as HDR. The front camera (aimed mainly at video calls and selfie- type photographs) will be 1.1 megapixels and will incorporate the Exmor R sensor.
The Xperia T2 Ultra will also include WiFi connectivity, 3G and the new ultra-fast 4G Internet connection. As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, there will be two versions of this phablet: the Xperia T2 Ultra with a single SIM card slot and the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual with a dual- SIM card slot. All these characteristics will be accompanied by a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh, so in principle we will not have to worry about the autonomy of this terminal even taking into account the huge screen that it incorporates.
Despite the fact that this terminal has just been presented through an official Sony press release, the Japanese company has not included any definitive information regarding its price or its launch date. In addition to being a terminal that will reach stores around the world, the only thing that can be deduced from this note is that its price will be around 400 euros.
