After the dissolution of Sony Ericsson and keep the Asian company with all the mobile division, along holding the CES 2012 the first advanced mobile in the new era of the company showed: the Sony Xperia S. A terminal based on Android and that has one of the largest touch screens on the market. Although its presentation did not show data on its possible launch date and, much less, its sale price, the first information about it has already been revealed.
The information comes from an Internet store called Clove of British origin. It shows the Sony terminal in pre-sale with a price of 390 pounds (about 470 euros at the current exchange rate) and, it would go on sale during the month of March, more specifically on the 5th. This would give clues of when it could be seen in the other European markets.
Sony Xperia S is the manufacturer's first bet for this year 2012. It is a large smartphone with a screen capable of displaying high definition content at a maximum of 720p. Its diagonal is 4.3 inches and achieves a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. In addition, its processor is also powerful: it is dual-core and has a working frequency of 1.5 GHz with a RAM of one GB.
On the other hand, and for multimedia lovers, this Sony Xperia S has a 12 MPx resolution main camera that is capable of capturing video clips in Full HD. Later, and thanks to its miniHDMI output or its DLNA connection, the contents can be displayed on a larger compatible screen, whether they are monitors or televisions.
Finally, although Sony Xperia S will come with Android Gingerbread installed, the company itself has already commented that it will be updated to Android 4.0 this year and together with the other terminals that now make up the Sony Mobile Communications offer catalog -the old Sony Ericsson-.
