Users of the Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia S and Sony Xperia U will be able to use the transparent bar that these smartphones have on their chassis. And it is that thanks to an application, the terminals of the Japanese company will notify customers when they have a missed call or have received a text message. And all this with the illumination of the small translucent strip.
The design of the new Sony Xperia terminals attracts attention: in addition to having a chassis made of aluminum, the three members that are already available in Spain, have a small transparent bar at the bottom of the design where the icons of the Virtual buttons that refer to backspace actions, menu or return to the home screen.
However, thanks to the “ Illumination Bar Notification “ application, this strip will receive more functions; especially light signs. That is, users will no longer need to turn on the terminals to know if they have received any notification. From now on, just looking at this transparent bar will be enough.
Once the application "" available for free download from Google Play is installed "" the consumer will be able to proceed to configure the notices. You can choose different types of warnings: speed of the warning or keep the light fixed or flashing. On the other hand, it will also be possible to choose the colors you want for these indications.
But beware, the only terminal of the new Sony Xperia proposing more colors in the signs, thanks to Illumination Bar Notification , is the baby of the family: Sony Xperia U. The colors that can be chosen are the following: blue, red, green or yellow; the other two terminals ”” Sony Xperia P or Sony Xperia S ”” can only alert the user in white.
At the moment it works with all types of messaging except those that come from WhatsApp, the well-known instant messaging platform, according to the first users who have tried the application. Although it is to be expected that future updates will include more compatibility with third-party programs.
These first three members of the newly formed Sony Mobile will be the only smartphones compatible with this function. And the fact is that, although more terminals must appear on the market "" including Spain "" none of them show this transparent bar in their designs. The models that are to arrive are: Sony Xperia Sola, Sony Xperia acro S, Sony Xperia go, Sony Xperia Ion, Sony Xperia miro and Sony Xperia tipo, five advanced mobiles that will reinforce the Xperia family.
We also remember that, for the moment, Sony Xperia S is, for the moment, the manufacturer's first sword. However, all of them are based on the installed Google mobile platform: Android 2.3 "" known as Gingerbread "", although they should receive the update to Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich shortly.
