The next Sony benchmark will arrive in Spain in a few months. It is the Sony Xperia Ion, a large smartphone that was presented during the last CES 2.012 and that will land on Spanish soil from next September. This terminal is focused on an audience that wants to have an advanced mobile with a large screen; that is capable of capturing high-quality photos and videos and that it is based on Google icons, better known as Android.
Sony Xperia Ion is one of the latest mobiles that will arrive to conquer the Spanish market. What are your main strengths? Well for starters, the smartphone has a big screen, "" greater than the current flagship of the Japanese manufacturer: Sony Xperia S "" of 4.6 inches diagonally and can reproduce images at a maximum of 1,280 x 720 pixels.
On the other hand, its power is given by a Qualcomm processor. This will be dual core and will work at a frequency of 1.5 GHz. It will be accompanied by a RAM of one GigaByte and its space to store files inside will be 16 GB, although you can always use MicroSD cards of up to 32 GB more.
It also has two cameras: a 1.3 mega-pixel front one that allows videoconferences in high definition (720p). While the main objective is at the rear of the chassis ”” available in black and red ”” and has a 12 Megapixel sensor accompanied by an LED-type flash to illuminate the darkest scenes. In addition, videos can be captured in Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels). And it will be possible to make use of the function called 3D Sweep Panorama ”” captures three-dimensional images and they will be able to be reproduced later on on a compatible television ””.
As for the operating system that can be found in the user in this model, as it happens in all its catalog brothers, Sony Xperia Ion will come with Android 4.0 pre-installed giving access to the latest version of Google's mobile platform, with which involves improvements and new functions that will allow the customer to get all the performance and have all the consumption of the terminal under control.
To this must be added that Sony has decided to bring a new multimedia experience to the consumer and the advanced terminal will have several pre-installed applications that will make the customer enjoy Hollywood hits, series and 15 million songs. This will be thanks to the Music and Video Unlimited applications of Sony Entertainment Network . Also, Sony Xperia Ion is PlayStation certified. And that will guarantee a good experience when playing video games.
September has been the month chosen to land in Spain. However, at the moment the price at which it can be purchased in the free market or at what price it will be available in the different portfolios of national operators is not known. Although in the latter case it must be remembered that some of them decided not to continue with the subsidy of terminals for new customers.
