It was recently announced that the Japanese company Sony had proceeded to certify three new smartphones, two mid-range and one high-end. But the news from Sony does not seem to end there, since a leak has revealed the existence of the Sony Xperia E1 II, a new version of the current Sony Xperia E1. The Sony Xperia E1 II will continue to be a lower-middle-range smartphone, and everything indicates that its presentation will take place during the Mobile World Congress 2015 (that is, at the beginning of March).
This new successor to the Sony Xperia E1, instead of being called Sony Xperia E2, will simply respond to the name of Sony Xperia E1 II, as the Phone House store has revealed in an oversight in its Spanish version. Reveals this store, the Sony Xperia E1 II will be presented with a screen of four inches to reach a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. This would mean that Sony will keep the screen size of the predecessor of this smartphone, and only slightly improve the resolution (previously 800 x 480 pixels).
Under the case of the Sony Xperia E1 II there will also be some improvements; shy, but you get better after all. The processor housed inside this smartphone will be quad-core and will operate at a clock speed of between 1.3 and 1.4 GHz, although at the moment the exact model of the processor we are talking about is unknown. The capacity of the RAM will be 1 GigaByte, and the internal storage space will reach 8 GigaBytes (expandable by microSD up to 32 GigaBytes).
In terms of performance, the most important improvement of the new Sony Xperia E1 II regarding the Sony Xperia E1 lies in the processor, which belonged at the time to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 of dual - core running at 1.2 GHz clock speed. And, of course, we also have to talk about an improvement in the version of the Android operating system; While the Xperia E1 came standard with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, the new Xperia E1 II incorporates the Android 4.4.2 KitKat version from the factory.
The other features of the leaked Sony Xperia E1 II include a main camera of five megapixels, a front camera of two megapixels and a battery with a range of up to 366 hours standby and up to eight hours talk time.
The new Sony Xperia E1 II is scheduled to be officially unveiled during MWC 2015, the technology-focused event that will take place at the beginning of March. The starting price that appears associated with this mobile is 120 euros, although in the case of an oversight, we still do not have to assume that we are facing the real price that this smartphone will have after its presentation.
