Following the calendar that the company had programmed for the MWC, Sony has just presented the natural renewal of the Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 launched last year. Both terminals maintain the design lines of the previous versions. The most important novelty is found inside, and not only in its technical specifications, since the photographic software is also renewed, at least in the Xperia 1. Let's see what both have in store for us next.

Same design and screen improving the present
It is a fact: the novelties in design are rather limited. The company has chosen to integrate a body very similar to that of the 2019 versions except for some details, such as the integration of a 3.5-millimeter port for headphones in the case of the Xperia 1.
The rest of the novelties of the latter are practically priceless, beyond the relocation of its camera module. The screen, in fact, is identical: 6.5 inches in 21: 9 format, OLED technology and 4K resolution. There is nothing.
Otherwise it is the Xperia 10. This time the phone uses a 6-inch panel with OLED technology and Full HD + resolution. Its format is 21: 9, and is accompanied by a coating based on Gorilla Glass 6. It should be noted that the panel has Trilominos Display technology to improve the representation of colors.
The other novelty is found in the rear; specifically in the photographic module. Now the phone has three cameras, which we will talk about in later sections. For the second year in a row, the manufacturer has chosen to position the fingerprint sensor on one of the sides.
Hardware: upgrading components to 2020
At least in the case of the Xperia 1 II, as the phone has the latest from Qualcomm: the Snapdragon 865. This is accompanied by 256 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM.
If we talk about the Xperia 10 II, the phone opts for a Snapdragon 665 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It's not a huge leap from last year's 630, but at least we're dealing with a relatively recent generation.
Leaving aside the technical details of the two phones, the most interesting novelty of the two terminals is found in the increase in battery capacity. While the former has a 4,000 mAh module, the Xperia 10 has 3,600 mAh. The jump compared to the 2019 versions is significant, although they may seem somewhat scarce taking into account the screen diagonal.
The cameras are renewed inside and out
This year Sony has put special focus on the photographic section of its two terminals, starting with the Xperia 1. The phone consists of three 12-megapixel sensors with angular, wide-angle and telephoto lenses along with an additional ToF sensor to improve images in Portrait mode.
Far from its specifications, the main novelty comes from the hand of the Exmor RS sensor, a 1 / 1.7-inch sensor that promises to bring greater brightness and definition to images in environments where light is poor. In software, Sony has developed an entire mobile system capable of recording videos with sustained focus at 60 images per second, obtaining fully focused 20 FPS bursts. A manual mode is also integrated that imitates that of the Sony Alpha, the professional cameras of the Japanese firm.
As for the Xperia 10 II, the terminal uses three sensors of 12, 8 and 8 megapixels with the same lens configuration as the Xperia 1, except for the main sensor, which consists of a wide-angle lens (the secondary is ultra wide angle). Although the phone does not have the same camera functions as its older brother, it does have several modes to capture 4K video and more defined images.
Price and availability of the Sony Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II
Again the company has not given data about the price and availability of its two terminals. It is known that they will arrive from spring at a price very similar to that of the 2019 terminals: around 900 and 300 euros respectively.
