It seems that the Sony Xperia Z1 already has a new successor. The Japanese company Sony could be working on the Sony Xperia Z2, which would become the next flagship of this company in the mobile phone sector. Apparently it would be a 5.2-inch smartphone with a 3700 mAh battery that would not disappoint in one of its most professional specifications within other models in the Xperia range: the camera. In principle we would have a camera of 20.7 megapixels, a figure exactly like the camera that now incorporates the Xperia Z1.
According to the rumors with which the specifications of this terminal have been leaked, the Xperia Z2 would be officially presented at the next mobile phone fair MWC (Mobile World Congress) held in Barcelona from the 24th to the 27th of February.
In addition to the screen (5.2 inches with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution), battery (3700 mAh) and the camera (20.7 megapixels) it has also been known that the Xperia Z2 incorporate a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 accompanied by memory RAM of 3 GigaBytes. In the absence of knowing more details about the processor, the truth is that the specifications of the new Sony Xperia Z2 already seem to point ways towards a terminal that will compete face to face with other star terminals of the year such as the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The peculiarity of the presentation that could take place in the month of February would be that probably the new Sony terminal would not be presented under the name of Sony Xperia Z2, but would do so under the name of " Sirius " (Sony Xperia Sirius, perhaps?). On the other hand, we must bear in mind that the name with which this terminal has been filtered is Sirius, but perhaps it is only the name that Sony has decided to use until it finishes developing its new phone. In summary, the important thing is that we will have to be attentive to either of these two denominations since both will refer to the next flagship of this company.
Recall that the previous Sony Xperia Z1 takes very little time on the market, as they came to the Spanish stores back in the month of September of 2013. The Xperia Z1 incorporates a screen five inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, and the processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 that runs at a clock speed of 2.2 GHz. This processor is accompanied by a memory RAM of two gigabytes, plus 16 gigabytes of internal storage expandable up to 64 gigabytes by external memory cardmicroSD.
The Xperia Z1's battery has a capacity of 3000 mAh. For this phone, the camera sensor is also 20.7 megapixels, so hopefully that Sony includes in the new Xperia Z2 something new at the software level (ie level programming) within this specification.
