All sources of media specializing in mobile telephony are placed on the IFA 2014, a technology event held in Berlin (Germany) between days 5 and 10 September. And much of the attention is focused on the Japanese company Sony, which is expected to present several novelties among which we would find the Sony Xperia Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (whose appearance has just been filtered in some press photographs). But as we have just learned through a new leak, Sony could have planned to present a new one during this eventSony Xperia E3, a mid-range mobile that would hit the market to succeed the Sony Xperia E1 launched during the month of January of this year 2014.
It case of an affordable mobile, it is expected that the Sony Xperia E3 incorporates a screen of 4.8 inches with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The processor incorporated inside it would correspond to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with four cores that would operate at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The capacity of the RAM memory is still an unknown data, although everything indicates that it will be between 1.5 and 2 GigaBytes. The operating system installed as standard in the Sony Xperia E3 could correspond to Androidin some of its most recent versions of Android 4.4 KitKat (see Android 4.4.2 KitKat, for example).
Regarding the starting price of the Sony Xperia E3, the first information indicates that we will be facing a mobile that will cost between 200 and 300 euros in Spain. In fact, the price of the Sony Xperia E1 during its launch in the Spanish market was set at 200 euros, which gives us a good clue as to what this new version could cost.
Recall that the Sony Xperia E1 is a mobile incorporating features such as a display of four inches with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, a processor Qualcomm of dual - core running at 1.2 GHz clock speed, 512 megabytes of memory RAM, 4 gigabytes internal memory (expandable via microSD), a main chamber of three megapixels and a battery of 1700 mAh. Interestingly, it was at the beginning of this month of August when Sony released the update ofAndroid 4.4.2 KitKat for the Sony Xperia E1, thus allowing its owners to go from Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to one of the most recent versions of the Android operating system. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia E (the version before this mobile) will not receive any new operating system update, as confirmed by Sony officially.
Undoubtedly, Sony has prepared many new developments in terms of mobile telephony for this IFA 2014. We will have to wait until September 3 to find out all the mobiles (Sony Xperia Z3, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, etc.) with which Sony will seek to attract new users during the final stretch of this year 2014.
