The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play is starting to get serious. Even when we knew it as PlayStation Phone or PSPhone, this touch mobile received the odd slap for the performance it was giving in the power tests. The graphical indexes indicated very poor image per second rates, which with the new year seems to have been solved.
And since Engadget show a new capture both photo and video, in which the test Neocore (downloadable from the Android Market, if you want to test your mobile) shows a rate of 59.1 frames per second. This is something else. Engadget, in turn, has echoed the Chinese site IT168, in which we can see in more detail the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play, which, so far, has not been seen at CES 2011, as shown thought.
In addition, since IT168 they have been able to reveal many more details about the technical profile of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play. Now we know for sure that will have a four - inch screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (to date, the highest supported by the Android system). The camera is the classic of smartphones of upper-middle range: five megapixels with 720p video function and an LED flash to illuminate the catch.
The processor will be the well-known Snapdragon with a power of one GHz. It will have a dedicated graphics unit, which will be the Qualcomm Adreno 205. It will also incorporate 512 MB of RAM, and in the connections there will be no lack of internal slots for microSD cards, as well as for the SIM card. It has a microUSB port, although it does not include an HDMI high definition output.
