Today's mobiles are getting prettier. We have reached a point where we have terminals with an exquisite design, with glass as the main protagonist. However, this beautiful design makes the devices much more delicate as well. Surely many of you remember those mobiles that fell over and over to the ground and continued like the first day. That went down in history. Today we are going to see how one of the latest high-end launches that has hit the market “suffers”. They have subjected the Huawei Mate 20 Pro to a tough endurance test. How will the top of the range of the Chinese manufacturer have fared? These images can hurt the sensibilities of some viewers.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro undergoes a tough endurance test
The well-known YouTuber JerryRigEverything has subjected Huawei's latest creation to one of his comprehensive endurance tests. Although no one is going to spend 1,000 euros on a mobile to abuse it, this type of test helps us to know in which points and situations the terminal is more or less resistant.
We leave you the video so you can see the tests that JerryRigEverything has carried out on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
The first thing he does is scratch the screen with screwdrivers of various thicknesses. From number 6 on, the mark remains on the screen.
The second test is to pass the cutter both through the metal frames and through the notch on the screen and the rear camera. The latter is surprisingly resistant to the scratches it makes with the tip of the cutter.
Also very resistant is the back cover that, although it is made of glass, sports a textured finish to prevent slipping and fingerprints. And the truth is that it perfectly withstands the test in which this part is scratched with the cutter. This makes us think that the back of the mobile will hold perfectly without producing marks in normal use of the terminal.
After the test with the cutter, JerryRigEverything goes on to burn the OLED panel of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Of course, after a while a smudge appears on the screen that can be seen from almost any angle.
But perhaps the most worrying thing about the test is the ease with which the screen glass breaks. While performing the typical hand twist test, the front glass breaks. This causes the fingerprint reader under the screen to stop working correctly. So you know, if you have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro, try not to sit on it.
