The Android 10 update is initially reserved for the highest-end mobiles on the market. Thanks to the Go edition, some more affordable phones will soon be able to enjoy the platform. As confirmed on his Twitter account by Juho Sarvikas, product manager at HDM Global (the company that handles Nokia devices), Android 10 Go will soon be coming to some models of the company. Thus, we know that the Nokia 1, Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 2.1 will be the first to be updated to this version.
The roadmap confirms that the Nokia 1 Plus will be the first team to receive the update. It will do so during the first quarter of 2020. For their part, the Nokia 1 and Nokia 2.1 will receive Android 10 Go Edition a little later, throughout the second quarter of 2020. Although there are still quite a few months to go, it is confirmed that these entry phones will be able to enjoy the benefits of this new version, with improvements in terms of functions, performance and stability.
It is important to remember that Android Go is a version of the system that includes fewer functions than the standard version in order to be able to function without problems on mobiles with modest processors and 1 GB RAM. In any case, as in Android 10, Android 10 Go will allow you to enjoy the long-awaited dark mode. This function allows you to turn the background of the interface in black to relax your eyes or simply save battery.
Also, one of the most important features of this update is that the apps will be able to start 10% faster than those of Android 9 Go. On the other hand, security has also increased and Android 10 Go will receive some improvements. One of them is a new encryption called Adiantum, which will not affect performance at all. In addition, all users will enjoy the same level of data security as any other Android device. In addition to Nokia phones, it is expected that the rest of the devices with Android Go can update to this new version at some point, among them are Samsung or Xiaomi models. We will be very pending of new data to inform you promptly.
